I met my guy on-line and we're on year 6 now -- and going strong. It's probably harder for a man to meet women than vice versa -- I received literally HUNDREDS of responses to my ad in the first month, but understand than most men receive only a dozen or so. May you should submit the text of your add here and ask us ladies what they like and don't like about it, improve your add and you may get better response.
Also, shop around for various on-line dating services. For instance, Matchmaker is direct toward a younger crowd and you might do better on Yahoo.

I have never used them, but know friends that have and it seems tacky - nothing to beat meeting people face to face, but they all say that whilst this is good, some people find it easier being honest on a website - so you have to choose. One thing which may help if to decide what kind of date you want, really think about where you would be most likey to meet that date and then think of how you could put yourself in their path...and use the money to get there or treat her when you find her

You might check out some of the lighter sites. Not so much "dating" and hook-me-up sites.
Try http://www.HotorNot.com
you can make a free account, put abit about you, and tie it into your area code.
Or check out whats in your area from http://www.MeetUp.com which is more about get-together-groups but sometimes there are ones about dancing or outdoor parties that can be good for meeting new people to date. Sometimes there will even be a local singles group.
There are others along those lines also but I cant think of them at the moment.

There still hope out there, even in the internet dating world. Sometimes it helps just to break away from it for a bit, some say once you stop looking that's when you will find someone. So, have a little faith and no worries and believe, relax and it will all workout.
Stay Strong.
Stay Positive.

I meet my wife of 8 years on-line, but not in a pay sight. We ended up in the same church related chat room on AOL. I looked at her profile, and discovered we were both November babies. I IMed her and ask her what day her birthday was. It was the day after mine. I then asked her what year. It was the same year. We are 27 hours apart in age.
After chatting for about a year on-line, we meet and dated for 6 months or so. Got married and now have 2 great kids.

It's not only the money the websites charge but you have to watch out for frauds online. One friend of mine got duped into giving money to some guy who posted fake information about himself. Be careful. I'm sure it's possible but none of my friends who went looking there found anything. Good luck.

There are a bunch of dating websites and I'm sure there are women in your area that are interested but websites are businesses and you're not going to be able to use them for free. Only Craigslist is free.
This is not a dating website. You need to go there if you're looking to find a date.
