Just ask, if she is, nothing is gained from liking her from afar, and if she isn't then you can ask her out. I mean what is the big deal, would you rather wait until next year to find out if she is with someone? If she isn't there are good odds she maybe by the time you figure out that she wasn't.

I'm frequently amazed by the number of questions where someone wants to know something but they don't want the other person to know they want to know. There are all kinds of ways to find out what you want to know, but all of them run the risk of giving you unreliable information. There's only one way I know of to get first-rate quality information, and that' s to ask her. Why on earth would you go through the trouble of being interested in someone if you didn't want her to know you were interested? Who are you saving this revelation for? (Scared? That's understandable, but you aren't going to let a little fear keep you from gaining the prize, are you? Well....are you?) It's like this: If she's worth all of this anxiety you've invested into getting yourself all worked up, then she's worth pursuing the right way. You decide. Good luck.

There are two ways. One: you just go and ask her directly, taking a chance. If she does not date anyone, you won. She will probably appreciate your courage. If she does date someone, say you could go on a double date sometime with your imaginary girlfriend (no need to tell her she is imaginary.) If she is interested in you, she will be jealous.
Two: Tell a friend of yours, to ask a friend of hers. But This is not a "manly" way to do things, If you ask me!
Hope everything works out well!

I remember that one of my friends wanted to find out if a boy was taken. The thing she did was to make it a natural part of conversation. She did not ask directly, and didn’t formulate the question so it sounded suspicious. Just make it as natural as possible, or you could make one of your friends ask her. The key point is to make it as natural as possible..
