I had my husband apply for a Continental Finance card because it was a card that promised to rebuild his credit. However, now that we finally have the card we have some questions regarding the account but CANNOT get a live agent!! We just got billed $300 and I want to cancel this account but since there is no associate i dont know how?!?

How can I remove this account before it damanges his credit??

I did call the 1-866-518-6141 and it DOES NOT give u an actual agent. It just tells you the account information and the last transactions. When I select the number for associate it then gives me another telephone number. I call the 1-866-489-3649 for an associate only to get the same information form the other machine. I even called the lost & stolen card # and they gave me the same numbers I've already called.

Does anyone know how I can reach them??? Does anyone have this card??

Cancel it in writing and request a written verification that the account is closed.

This sounds like one of those cards that hits you with all sorts of up front fees and the card arrives maxed out. Or is this one of those catalog cards?

I would assume the easiest way to cancel is to send the card (cut in two) back to the company with a written statement, dated, that you are canceling the card completely. I am not sure about the the credit report though. Best of Luck.

Call again and instead of listening to all those prompts push zero. Most of the time that should connect you to a real live person. If that fails right a registered, get a return receipt letter.

Is there a web site or e-mail address of any sort?
