I thought it was so funny the first time I accidentally did that to my own shoes but it wasn't long that I started making a point to tie mine that way. So much easier than having my little ones untie my shoes while I am washing dishes or such. Also nice to not have them coming untied to possibly trip me up when my hands are full of babies, groceries and the like.

You know I got in the habit of double knotting my shoes because the kids kept undoing my shoe laces and I kept tripping so I started double knotting. It's all those darn kids fault LOL

I've always, always have double knotted my shoes. I did it for all my kids too. That way while they were in school their shoes wouldn't come undone. I did it for mine before I did it for them. I don't like my shoes to come undone. I walk a lot and I don't like having to tie them all the time!

I tie mine in double knots on occasion, I have to do my sons b/c he knows how to untie them.....

i have always tied my sneakers into double knots. for I am as bad as they are/were about them coming undone and walking on the laces.

i like to have my sneakers loose so i can just slip them on. so to keep the laces loose i double knot them because that's how i learned!
