I like that sad attempt by one of the posters with the car child analogy. "You tell someone that the car will kill if you cross, and you cross anyways...."
SO now, all that is required for me is to believe that jesus sacrificed himself for me to save me from my sins?
Guys, look around you, the world is full of sin. If someone died for my sins, why is there a necessity for the creation to continue? Finish. Jesus died for the sin that adam brought upon us.
What sins exactly did jesus die for? Murder? I s this a sin that jesus died for? stealing? not accepting jesus christ as your savior?
Which sins classify as a sin that jesus has died for so that you do not have to pay for it?
What about the people who came before jesus? DO they not have this honor?
Why would god not explain to us right from the beginning of creation that he is part of a trinity? It seems to me that God would make it claer to us form the beginning of creation that
he is a trinity so that all mankind can have the same conception of God, not just the people who came after christ.
People, why do you lie about God?

properly, i'm going to grant you with my answer from an atheist's perspective. between the themes that folk have while it contains believing in no longer something is that actual, good now, technology would not somewhat have an answer for what got here until now the super Bang. people use what's stated as the "God of the Gaps" argument for this. in reality, if we don't understand the way it somewhat works, God ought to have completed it. We used to do the comparable ingredient 1000 years in the past while there have been volcano eruptions and earthquakes, we used to declare those as acts of God. immediately, all of us understand that that could be an excellent circulate of plate tectonics and magma. purely because of the fact we don't are conscious of it does no longer mean a god did it. It purely skill we do not have an answer yet, yet sometime we could. you will possibly actual ought to have a level in many fields of technology to have all the small print on how each little thing has happened (Quantum Physics, String theory, Planetary Sciences, Molecular Biology, etc...) you may continually study articles right here and there to get a base information, yet there are scientific reasons for a fashion we predict of, compassion, hate, and love. i might choose for to have self belief besides. i might like for his or her to be an eternal afterlife the place i could desire to pass with all my family contributors contributors once I die. yet because of the fact i choose for it does no longer mean i'm going to have self belief it. i think what I do because of the fact i think of that is authentic, no longer because of the fact that is what i choose for.

He did not die to save us from either Himself or Jesus.
Jesus died on the cross so that we might be saved from eternal damnation so that we might go to Heaven. Jesus's death on the cross made it possible for us to no longer be under the strict laws of the Old Testament.

No, especially when one looks at Judaism and understands what the Messiah was actually suppose to do. Dying for sin is not one of them, nor did Jesus fulfill the needed prophecies. The messiah isn't supposed to be a God

God did not die to save us from Himself. God came to the earth as the human man, Jesus to save us from staying eternally separated from God and eternity in Hell.
Adam and Eve's disobedience in the garden caused them and us to become separated from God and to die. Jesus' death on the cross to take our place for our sins and our sinful nature, is mankind's way back into the relationship that God intended from the start.
Turning away from our sins which is called repentance and acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and our Savior brings us back to God and He gives us the free gift of eternal life.
Jesus is both God and God's Son in the flesh.

God, so many answerers on here have such short sightedness. You can see they live in a small box and nothing outside that box exists to them. They don't even consider the possibility that something might be outside of that box. I could cry for the future of mankind if it wasn't so damn funny.

Well, you have it a little wrong on 2 accounts. God sent His Son - Jesus - to die for us, and it wasn't to save us FROM Him, it was to save us FOR Him, so we can spend eternity with Him in Heaven. We can't get there on our own - we all have sin in our lives from the day we were born. It's inescapable. Thus the need for Jesus to take our place. I have been in on some Bible Studies dealing with this very subject, and it is a very interesting topic, even though it gets pretty deep, but once you study and learn, it's easier to understand. I'm not really theological, but I'll bet someone will chime in here with a more theological explanation. Suffice it to say, we were given an unbelievable gift, but we have to take it.

Not to save us from Him, but in order to reconcile us to Him.
We were cut off from God because of sin. He will have nothing to do with sin. The way back to Him was through that sacrifice for sin.
It was an act of love on such a scale you cannot comprehend it.

I totally agree with you Al-Qiyamah
Its not like Jesus himself went up there to be crucified.....bunch of losers who wanted to kill him planned this plot, but God is the best of planners and saved Jesus, by ascending him to heaven. For God is the best protector, and whom he protects no one can harm him.
People just look for excuses to feel good about themselves. They say "Oh jesus died for my sins"....well he didnt died to begin with. Any why would Jesus take all your sins? If you sin you pay in this world and hereafter. You are responsible for your own sins.
If you use your credit card you are responsible for the payment, NOT JESUS!!!
