First of all my condolences for your loss.
Ok, so I am not a pastor, but I have had experience with death in my family and went through the same things as you did. It is actually quite normal to question your beliefs and faith. It is a time when you can get so confused with life, religion, God, everything and you just want answers that would comfort you and say that it will pass away. I don't know what comforting answers, but I can say that this feeling will pass away if you let it pass away and not hold on to it. Every event in our lives have a purpose. They have a reason for happening. But the one thing I have understood is that God never turns his back on his children and no matter what the child asks for he gives it, it is just that it may not be in the way we wanted it to be. Like for example: One might keep on praying to God for strength. So, God will give you all the problems in the world for you to face and also you will have the strength to withstand them, but that is not how you had asked it. The only way to get over it is by understanding that death is part of life, if there is no death there can't be life. One has to learn to be detached from this world, at the same time as being attached by doing all the duties as a householder, as a child, as a human being that you are supposed to do. Live and let live. God has a plan for everyone. But you have a choice to the make the life you want it to be so make the right choices and leave the consequences of those choices to Him. He will take care of it.
Hope you feel better. Good luck.

I am not a pastor (obviously, lol)
But I do believe in the Lord Jesus and love Him with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. And I could not imagine NOT having Him in my life at this time if I were you. I mean, God is what would be holding me together! God is drawing you near to Him. Sometimes these things happen all in the same timing to truly test you- God tests us. But we should NEVER doubt Him. ( I know many do, many have struggles, but it only gives the devil an oppurtunity to drive us away)
As the Bible says: 2 Timothy 4:3-5
3(A) For the time is coming when people will not endure(B) sound[a] teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4and(C) will turn away from listening to the truth and(D) wander off into myths. 5As for you,(E) always be sober-minded,(F) endure suffering, do the work of(G) an evangelist,(H) fulfill your ministry.
- These are people who decided that they wanted something that would make them feel good all the time- a feel good relegion. They made up a god to suit themselves, rather than believing in the God of the Bible. These temptations will arise, but PLEASE stand firm in your faith and right now I would encourage you to PRAY with all your heart. The Lord hears the prayers of His people- and will not forsake you. He knows your heart, and He is wanting you to COME TO HIM! Do not go seeking advice from the world, or listen to the comments made on here from those who deny God- especially in the state you are in right now. Just seek the Lord day in and day out. As Lamentations 3:25 says "The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him"
-God bless and e mail me anytime if you need to talk!

I'm not a pastor, but not only will I give this question a star in the hopes that my other Christian friends do the same, I'll try to answer you.
I've dealt with a lot of death in my lifetime, and yes, it made me question EVERYTHING. Whether it's something that will pass with time or not isn't something that any human can possibly know. My suggestion is to take it to God. Ask Him to give you peace, and help you understand.
I did, and He did. I'll be praying for you, and I'm so sorry for your losses.

Well, if you never questioned what you believe, then "where is the room for growth?" How will you know to find, or search for more, if you don't have questions? You are "not" the only one who has had confusion about God..or the Bible..or spiritual things...etc... did you know, that God "wants you to question Him?" how do you think you will get Him to answer you, if you never ask Him a question? Think...He is the one with all the answers, He knows everything..who better to go to then Him about things you don't understand? (this is why we have prayer..)talking to Him..and, "I" was never in this state where you are..right? I was just "born" with me being the way i am....? or, i went to Him and began asking things of Him and He started talking to me and giving me answers...and this is why i am able to tell you these things...think?..i can help you through your bible..i can teach you things..but i cannot do your talking to the Lord for you..and, i cannot make your decisions for you either...these things are up to you...so, the ball in in your court..what are you going to do with it.....tell you what, i will give you my personal email..schnook007@yahoo.com if you like, we'll talk more...
