Move in with him and he WILL go to jail. You are lucky he is not there now. The age of sexual consent in California is 18. He can be charged with a felony and end up in prison. You had better tread lightly around your mother. Since you are pregnant with his child, once paternity is established he could go to jail based on that evidence alone.

As far as I know (and this may depend on what state you're in) as long as you can prove that you can support yourself you can just leave. My cousin moved out at 13. His mother called the cops, child services, everyone she thought might be able to help. They all told her they couldn't do a thing about it because he had a steady job, and a place to live. That might just be a Vermont law though, I'm not sure, sorry. You should also look up the laws on statutory rape, I think 17 is old enough that your parents can't press charges against your will, but again I'm not absolutely positive. Hope this helps some. And good luck with the baby!

First things first. You are pregnant and must think of teh baby before anything else. Have you tried to really talk with mom and dad? Do they really want you out where they cant help you? Despite my disappointment with her irresponsible actions, I wouldnt do so to my daughter. Do you believe you can raise a child yourself? Do not count on others, outside of family, to help. Your BF might be an honorable guy...but remember, yoru child comes first. Dont take risks you are not ready for. Be prepared to do whatever you have to do yourself before you ask others to help you.

Uh, you don't want to be emancipated. You'd have to go to a court and tell a judge that you want to move in with your rapist boyfriend. (Age of consent is 18 in california, so he's guilty of stat if he's the father.)
The only way to get emancipated in California is to
A) Get Married (requires parental consent)
B)Join the military (Requires parental consent.. and not gonna happen if you're prego.)
C) Go to a judge, notify your parents of the court date and they'll be allowed to contest it.
In addition you have to be living on your own (parent consent required) have a legal source of income (not welfare) and be going to school or have your GED. It doesn't sound like you're going to get it, so you're best just waiting the few months.

It depends on when you are considered an adult some states you are considered a adult at 17 some at 18 so if you are not considered an adult yet your boyfriend could possibly get in trouble because you are underage

You are legal to move out. Do what you want.
But just make sure it's what you want to do.
You parents may be able to help a little more with the new baby.

the law has changed. you are now legally able to mave out when you are 17. hey if you can go to jail when youre 17, then you should be able to move out at that age too!
but thats here in Texas and i know most other states. you might want to look into the legal system in your state. just google it, just in case.

You need to go to court and file emancipation papers. Because of the length of time until your bday the odds are that they will emancipate you.
