About 20-25 weeks.
They will lay about every day to every other day for about 14 months and then they will lay but not as often.
Mine lay throughout the cold winter months. They have a coop and a heat lamp and heated waters. They do not seem to slow down laying in the winter at all.
I have some Rhode Island Reds. They are the bigest birds in my flock.

They start laying about 20-22 weeks and will lay every day or every other day for about 3 years. They will lay after that but not as much. Egg production is also dependant on light so in winter months they will lay less eggs unless you provide artificial light.

About six months, I had two bantoms once and they took that long, it was a great moment when the first one laid an egg.

Between five and six months depending on breed. I would say nearer six months for a heavy breed such as your RIRs
