If Prometheus made a deal with Zeus, that all the baby girls would have their eye lids cut off, would that also have to be legal to accommodate the followers of Zeus?

Don't expect rational argument to enter too many answers here.

I don't care whether it is a religious issue or a health issue, it should be a matter for individual choice, which means that a man can decide whether he wants it done when he hits the age of majority.

Mutilating babies for religious reasons is just barbaric, and all of the health related reasons (for which I might add, there is precious little in the way of proof) are of trivial benefit and only apply to sexually active adults in any case.

What were you sayin about Zeus :p

Male circumcision seems to reduce the risk of aids..STILL use a condom! So I can say there is at least a heath benefit to it. Female circumcision is only for the lustful benefits of men controlling women. It causes health problems. I don't think God would want any thing to hurt one of his children..I don't know about Zeus.. I don't recall the followers of Zeus doing any circumcision.

It's scientifically proven that circumcision helps improve cleanliness down thee...circumcised people are less likely to get infections that uncircumcised men...

So it's not just about religion, it's about health.
