Here's an important part of the U.S. constitution.
Preamble:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
It says We The People of the United States - period, end stop.
The U.S. Constitution protects the rights and freedoms of American citizens, not foreign nationals illegally residing in the United States.

The very laws that define us as American citizens, are being used against us by those who are not American citizens.

No, they don't. The Americans that need to be standing up for the Constitution are the ones in DC and they are purposely not following it.

Everyone has rights -- even some people in America . This is especially if they have the money and political influence to insist on the rights. The Constitution guarantees ALL people certain rights but is rather vague about differing classifications of people, some of which were not visualised at the time of it's writing or Amendments. Your question mentions potential violation by arresting officers. Under the "presumption of innocence until guilt is proven" principle, arresting officers must treat all detainees as citizens until found otherwise by a court of law. To mistreat a person prior to conviction is to violate a citizens rights. To mistreat at any time is still to mistreat, citizen or not. America claims to champion democracy and individual personal freedoms and liberties. In this claim it is the ultimate hypocrite. At any one time, it has more of it's population in jail -- both in total numbers and as a percentage of population -- than any other nation including "rogue states". It blithely ignores United Nations human rights international laws both among it's own citizens and abroad amongst legitimate foreign nationals in their home countries. It is able to do so because of the unthinking, redneck, selfish "reasoning" that many respondents to this question exhibit. .....And the arrogant of the U.S. wonder why they are internationally hated -- when they so readily violate the rights of their own and other nations citizens??

They have the right to remain silent. If they choose to give up that right any thing they say can be held against them in a Court of law.

It starts with Congress and the laws they pass and apparently, "We the People, " or no longer part of the process.

Nope. And why should they? If I break into your house, do you have to treat me like I signed a lease, with three weeks to move and someone to mow the lawn for me? Do I get the security deposit I didn't pay back?

IF they have any rights, they shouldn't. they left their rights at home. You donot deserve any rights if you can't obey our laws. We are not a country of suppression. But any one breaking our laws, put there to protoct The People, donot deserve any rights at all. We have a set of rules that guidelines that must be followed. I lost my train of thought but:

I don't think they should...but courts have sometimes interpreted things differently.
