Alaskan Malamute if I was free to give it the exercise it needs.

Maybe one day. Not fair on the dog leaving it alone all day.

I've had dogs my whole life I've had GSD's JRT's a Black Lab and a lurcher. I still have a JRT but I also have 2 English Bull Terriers and I think they make the best pets ever their intelligent, loyal, playfull, completely silly around everyone, they have never been aggressive with other dogs, cats people or over food or territory in fact my cats are my bully boys best play mates! They are extremely affectionate totally cheeky and I just love them so much I don't think I'll ever but another breed of dog I'm totally smitten. I just think their great and when I'm not training them they are training my other half ha ha their very good at that! We got our ***** (in the photo) nearly a year ago and we got our boy back in November and I cant wait to get more and more additions to our already fab family.

All dogs can be good pets ( from mutt to purebred) it depends on what you in an owner want your dog to do, example; If you are a couch potatoe and do not like to exercise don't buy a husky get a bulldog, do not buy a bulldog if you wanta dog to jog with on your five mile jogs every morning buy a husky. It all depends on what you want. All dogs can be someones perfect pet, but not everyone's perfect pet, just like us all dogs are different. That is why you should sit down and decide everything you want in a dog; size, temperment, energy level, size, length of fur, and anything else. You then need to research dog breeds, and pick the one that best describes what you want. Then you need to find a good breeder or buy one from a rescue or shelter. I can not stress how important it is to research and find a breed that fits into your family. It is impulse buyers and people who buy what their friends have to look like them that cause all the animals that our in shelters right now.

Depends on you the owner. One dog breed might make a great pet for one owner and then a terrible pet for some one else. You have to think of the size, if it will get on well with children if you have them, or other pets. Then how much exercise is needed and whether you like long haired dogs etc.. There is alot to consider. I have German shepherds and I have kids which they get on great with, they are long haired and require alot of grooming and exercise, they are however the most love able pets.

There is no best breed, as we all have different things we look for. I like the dog that I have at the time because there are great differences in dogs of a breed. I have my opinions but they're no better than anyone else's.

I've had a lot of dogs, but my favorite has been my boxer. I love boxers. They are playful, smart, loyal, and loving. They're not aggressive but still are protective. If you have a family then I would suggest a lab, but adopt an adult dog. Lab puppies are really high energy and hard to manage. Plus you're giving a dog good home.

Usually, that's too long for me. I consider it depends on the guy and his face though. Certain guys can pull off long hair and others can't.

I believe there's a dog breed for every person. For me, it's always been a Cocker Spaniel. I just got one that has finished showing and needed a good home. I love her.
