Last night I got upset with my boyfriend and then I had this horrible dream! He wouldn't talk to me anymore and I was trying so hard to talk to him and i kept telling him how much I loved him. In the dream he just kept avoiding me and acting like he wasn't sure if he wanted me anymore. What is the meaning behind this?? I woke up just feeling horrible from it!!

You have probably answered your own question.
Due to the fact that you were upset, the dream you had was a reflection of what you had in reality.
He in projection that is trying to avoid you shows that there is some regret in your subconscious mind. In other words, you may be feeling guilty the argument you had with him regardless whose fault it was.
Basically you had to vent out the dream to release how you feel and it does reflect on what you are feeling now.
