::sighs, shaking head::
Willful ignorance and stupidity is always so sad to witness.
But parents who inflict their willful ignorance and stupidity on their children is even worse.
I just wonder what the original poster is going to do when she sees the diatribes against Easter and Christmas from that same website?
Christmas: http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org/tracts/tract3.html
Easter:
http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org/tracts/tract1.html
And regarding the humorous essay about Halloween:
"Halloween has its origin in the British Isles about 1300 years ago. In those days, there were many men and women who practiced a so-called “nature religion” known as Wicca."
Neat trick, considering Wicca only dates back to the mid-1900s...
"The Wiccans or witches meet every Friday night at a gathering called an “esbat.” "
Uh... no.
"They draw a magic circle with a six-pointed star in it called a “hexagram”, from which we get the word “hex.” "
::counting pentacle points:: 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... hmm. I must be missing one. Or the author is completely wrong. Gee, let's guess which is more likely?

Though there are a lot of Christians that do decorate and do the whole holloween thing, I would NOT call it celebrating it....... Most of the Christian community do not even know what the true meaning of it is...... Candy is given, pictures of the cute little kiddies are taken, and hey rides are taken....... No big deal....... there is NO going out side to celebrate the moon or what ever is done for the meaning or celebration........ Sure I know the points taken by a few Christians, about the demons and the strongholds, and YES, in some cases this can be a real spiritual problem....... Just as Mardi Gras can....... I have seen it happen..... But, I also know that if a Christian is very strong in *faith* and *knows* that this is just a day/nite of fun and candy and pictures that there is no harm......... Some will see it as *entertaining* demons, and YES it could be seen as that, however, like I said if *faith* , *light* and Jesus are prevalent in our lives, satan and his demons have NO place in that fun day..... If anyone feels it is *wrong* then that is more than ok by me..... If anything is seen as sin to you or others than it IS...... that simple......... go in peace........ God bless

I am not familiar with that web site or the ministry...
I do not know any Christian family that actually "celebrate" this thing called halloween....most have a fall festavel / celebration thing...a group / families get together or the church gets together, etc...
the only thing I see around this area regarding that is the walmart stuff for sale and no one even bothers with it here....it is a waste of time and ends up on the mark down table after all the holidays are over.....
perhaps it is a regional thing?
I took the kids out for the trick or treat thing many years ago...it was more an educational than anything....after wandering around in the cold and the dark, dressed like idiots, with a bag of candy...the kids asked me, "now what do we do?" this was dumb....threw away the candy and went home.....
there are better things to teach children than to go door to door begging for candy.....

Halloween is not evil. Halloween was a Celtic pagan ritual back here in Ireland centuries ago. It did, as all other holidays did, evolve into a money making scheme as well as a holiday for fun for kids and adults.

Halloween is not something that is celebrated by just christians, but hindus in india also celebrate is as Mala period. Though in India this period date varies according to the position of the stars and planets and is not on the same date as halloween and also it is for a 15 day period in India. Mala period is celebrated in a different way here, no auspicious work or act is done during this time, 'cause it is said that during this time the veil between the two world thins out and the spirits of our dead ancestors come to visit. So during this time they give Tarpan meaning giving oblations to the spirits in form of their favorite foods and etc to please them. This way the family get the blessings from the ancestors as well. Halloween is not evil. It is just a period of time celebrating for the dead ones to please them. It is not evil until and unless an evil act is performed which I am sure is everywhere throughout the world (can read it in the newspapers daily) and on that basis I guess everyday is Halloween in the countries with poverty, famine, war, murder, corruption, etc....that make the entire world one big Halloween. So , no escaping that. ENJOY your daily Halloween.

I'm a Christian. I celebrate Halloween, and my church has Halloween parties. Sorry, but I have more going on in my life than to run around being frightened of holidays (or the hundreds of other things that extremists tell me I should be scared of).

Wait... you actually believe that baloney? Who the heck is David Meyer and why should anybody listen to him?
The question should be: Why do so many supposed "Christians" make a big deal about a harmless children's holiday? Could their faith in the Holy Spirit of God be THAT weak?

Wow, I feel sorry for any children you might have. Stop jumping at shadows, princess. Halloween was a Pagan festival honoring the dead and asking the sun to return after the winter was over. It was demonized by the Christians to scare people. Now-a-days, it's a day for costumes and candy. It's not evil.

I am a Christian. I think this sort of thinking is over the edge. It's not even historically accurate. We are going to have a fun time trick or treating etc ..And I won't sacrifice a single baby to Satan.

Why does an apparently fanatical Christian have the same screen name as a book by a famous occultist?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/777_and_other_Qabalistic_writings_of_Aleister_Crowley
You're only alienating your kids if you have any. I used to be a teacher - do you know how hard it was to tell one or two kids they couldn't dress up because mommy thinks dressing like a princess invokes satan? It doesn't anymore than using 777 as your screen name. See what I'm saying? It's all relative. You can choose to listen to Jesus, or to wacko fanatics like last trumpet ministries and Chick publications.
