Death brought about through war, execution or suicide bombing, it doesn’t matter. God gives no one the right to take another life.

Think about this: Any life you take is a soul, according to your belief systems, that can no longer be converted or redeemed or saved spiritually. If you take another person’s life aren’t you depriving God of His right to be able to redeem and convert and save that soul?

Except in extreme cases of self-defense, can you justify taking another person’s life? Can you say with a clear conscience that the life you take would never have accepted your God anyway?

Do you think your God will be pleased that you deprived Him of His right to redeem a soul? Or haven't you been able to understand that you can't convert a dead person?

Why are religious people so crazy?

Little Bear, I would kill someone trying to hurt my children, too. I'm not an idiot for asking why we think we have the right to kill people not directly trying to hurt us or our family. Instead of calling me names why not try to sincerely, honestly answer the question?

Tyler, your translation of a translation is just that, your translation of a translation. It is not validation that someone today sees words written four thousand years ago as meaning something other that what was written. And wars fought three thousand years ago does not justify themselves. They could have still been wars fought by man, not wars sactioned by God.

Brother Michael, are you saying that an army of ten thousand kills and wipes out another army of ten thousand soldiers that not one person in the defeated army could have been converted if left to live their life? That God knew in advance that not one of those ten thousand dead would have been redeemed anyway? Sorry, my friend, but this doesn't hold true. The God of the doctored and altered Old Testament and the God of Christ are not the same and what applied to the old does not apply to Christians. There were no Christians before Christ appeared on earth.

Actually you are dead wrong. The 10 commandments were translated into English during the reign of King James. There are a variety of English words which could have been used in the commandment "thou shalt not kill"--kill was used because it was easily understood at the educational level of the masses back then. In its most correct form the "Though shalt not kill" commandment is most properly translated as
"thou shalt not commit first degree murder except in time of war on the battlefield". Ask an linguist who studys those languages. Besides every army that the Israelites laid to waste were killed by Israelite soldiers--who would have been breaking that do not kill commandment, no?

There is a Scripture that says in Psalms 'God weighs the spirits'. Another in the New Test that says 'The first shall be last and the last first'.

God knows inherently the perfect appropriation in each case.what to do.

Rest assured the most vain filthy rich hyprocrite will have a harder time entering heaven and the poorest pauper trying to survive will be lifted up by God's loving arms.

God has nothing to do with murder or war. He gave us all free will. This is if you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Taoist or whatever. It is not necessary for you to bring God into the question. Why is it so important for you to convert the world. I have to right to be my religion and you have the right to be yours. Both religions are right. Both religions are wrong. But no one should ever be forced to believe anything. The Spanish Inquisition is over.

Apparently, you are not familiar with the Old Testament, especially the book of Joshua. God sanctioned and blessed the battles to take the land God had given them.
Unfortunately, your view of God is small. God will save whom He will save, it is not dependent on us. We deprive God of nothing. We can not cause Him to save anyone, nor stop Him. You have too small a view of God and to high a view of humans.
