Using the preventive Frontline is a better idea than using a flea/tick dip. If your poor pup already has fleas you can buy a flea shampoo from your local pet store, I don't think one is really much better than the other, but you'll have vaccuum up your house, car, etc. & clean out your yard of fleas then too.

Preventive measures are your friend!

RE:
What is the best brand of tick and flea dip for dogs?

Nothing works completely except topical liquids put on the back of the dog's neck every single month - name brand ones, not Walmart junk.

Frontline is for fleas
Frontline Plus prevents fleas and ticks

Advantage is for fleas
Advantix prevents fleas and ticks.

Both work just about 100%, well worth the money to keep fleas off the dog and out of the house.

Flea Dip

I wouldn't use a dip. Most of them contain pesticides that are very harmful to your pet. I personally use k-9 advantix. But its a bit on the expensive side, although when it comes to flea and tick preventive, you get what you pay for.

Any treatment from your vet - not really 'dips' but pipettes of liquid that you put on the skin on the back of the neck. Frontline Plus is my fave, Revolution, Advantage and Advocate are also good.

Nothing you can by in stores is any good - with no exception. Stores aren't licensed to sell the appropriate drugs.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU8Um

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

I use Front line. You can get it from your Vet or possibly your neighborhood pet shop.
