Some are, some aren't....it depends largely on the circumstances of the breakup. Most times it's possbile to maintain some good feelings about the things we've shared (which makes them remain "special" to a degree), other exes wind up being people you wish you'd never met.

I care about my ex because we were married for nearly 7 years, however she's not special to me in any way. The ONLY reason I care is cuz she's stupid and is STILL messing up her life and I care because I don't want to see it. Now...soon I will be leaving her life, which means, if I don't see her or her screw-ups, I have no reason to care.

Funny, I just talked to my ex last night. I will always care for her and wish her the best. Obviously, I wasn't the best for her. We are better off now than we were when we were together. And yes, she is still special to me even after all these years!

Your "ex" will always have a place in your heart. They're the person that you were with for a while. This doesn't mean you can just stay with that person forever. You'll still get some feelings, but don't let it cloud your mind.

Absolutely. If the relationship was anything, then there are those aspects of that person that you found attractive outside the romantic or physical parts.
My ex wife (mother of my son) is one of the kindest, funniest people I know. Everyone who has ever known her adores her.

Unless they were big fakers & turned out to be totally false.
In which case, no.

Yes, but a lot of guys will deny it. If you were in the relationship for a while it's even more difficult not to care or seldom think of the girl...the smallest of things can trigger it...

well yeah, once you've been in a relationship with somebody, i think there's usually a connection that can last even after you've broken up. specially if you still talk and see each other.

it depends on how you broke up. If it was on good terms than yes, I have so many feelings for my ex that I can't explain, She holds a certain part of my heart that I'll always cherish
