He won't eat, go to the bathroom, he has a hard time holding himself up and when he does he walks sideways. He is also hiding and panting really heavy. I don't know whats wrong could it have been a stroke?

If it was a stroke, your dog would probably be dead. Strokes are fairly rare in dogs.

Why on Earth haven't you taken this dog to a vet though? He's obviously suffering, how can you stand it? It could be arthritis, spinal problems, tumours - all the signs you've described all general signs of illness, but they all point to - a very sick dog! Take him to a vet right away to find out what's up with him, and to help him!

Take him to the vet immediatly, there are many possibilites, including Pnuemonia, which are very serious. Is he having a hard time breathing if he is its time to go to the emergency vet.
