Simply spiritual death, or eternal punishment? I am an atheist, agnostic in theory. However, I like to study these sort of things. Let this be a sort of experiment, and we'll see what sort of result we can draw from the answers.

My personal feeling on all of this is that we hardly have free will if we're being threatened, "Believe in God, or else..." It's more like a circumstantial will. You can do this, BUT... I mean, it basically comes down to, "Love me, or I'll make you suffer eternally." P'raps this god has an insecurity problem? Why else would God create such a horrible place?

No. For the moment, I'm going to take the view of god as a metaphor for the collective subconcious of human will rather than the Judeo Christian "Big Dad" one. I asked a question a bit ago to the general populace, not a scientific poll precisely, but there were a few responders and the majority gave answers indicating that they would not burn people alive for arrogance and not believing. Since the majority responded "No," I would say that you're pretty safe as far being sent to burn just for not believing, but I got a few non-answers and masked yes responses, which is pretty disturbing. I wouldn't trust a few of these folks with a bic if they thought they could get away with it.

Fiery yes, concentration camp, No. I believe that heaven and hell are the same fiery place. Since there can be no separation from God then it would stand to reason that we all basically go to the same place when we die. The difference is the person, not the place. If you are a mirror that can reflect/share God's grace and love then you would be "in heaven," but if you are incapable of love and sharing it, you wil have no "reflective" surface, and the fire will burn you, and you will be "in hell."
God being described as fire is biblical.

I don't particularly believe in Hell, but I think the nature of it depends on your religion. The firey pit one seems to be the most popular, but I've also read accounts of eternal darkness, separation from God, or even icy and very cold.

If you could even imagine being confined in utter darkness in a sarcophagus, with grotesque animal like beings uttering contemptuous indecencies at you for being so foolish as to deserve their company, along with the background echoes of insane moanings from the realization of capture topped off with the inexplicable odor of decay--you'd still have to be there to get the picture.
This as told by Dr. Eby as Jesus took him for a 2 minute experience of 'hell'.

There will be a Judgment Day for everyone. People have a choice to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. If you accept Him you will live eternally in Heaven. If you chose to sin and not accept Him there will be an eternal damnation. The damnation will be a forever suffering with gnashing of teeth and never being able to see God which will cause a longing and a grieving of loss and hopelessness. There will be horrific frightening, scary gross unbearable hellish devilment.
Your description of hell is inaccurate. Read the Bible before it is too late for you. Judgment Day is coming for YOU too.

To have a "concentration camp" you have to have life.....otherwise you'd have a cemetery. Hell....the Lake of Fire....referred to in the Bible is not some flickering flames "licking" at it's unfortunates forever and ever. It consumes, leaves "ashes", cleanses.....and then, having done it's work, having run out of fuel, it ceases to exist. The "wages of sin" is death (not life in hell), but the gift of God is eternal life. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him will not perish (if you don't believe....turn away from evil....you will PERISH...not life in hell....perish, die!) Without God there is and can be no life, not spiritual, not physical. When God finally says, "It Is Finished" one more time, he's going to light one huge bonfire to consume evil, the devil and his angels and cleanse the earth, preparatory for "creating a new heavens and a new earth." That's what "hell" is intended for....and ONLY that. We have our lifetime to heed his warning: get away from evil....it's going to burn eventually, and everything attached to it. Detach yourselves from evil; get away....why would you want to perish?

No, if you are in hell it will be because you made the choice by your own will to reject being with God versus God forcing you against your will to be in God's presence versus God operating a concentration camp and putting you in it against your will. God honors your will to reject His presence and to be separated from Him in what will be the definition of hell.

No, that is not an accurate concept of Hell. However, the "spiritual death" or "eternal punishment" aren't accurate either.
The most accurate description of Hell is: An old religious superstition popularized by Faust. Heaven and Hell don't exist.
