This is going to sound strange, but my college tutor caught me using cocaine in college today. She was angry at me and told me to meet her at her office at 8 in the morning to speak with her and other staff. I'm not a trouble maker at all, I've only been using it because I've been struggling to handle long hours at my job which left me exausted at college, so it was affecting my results in class. I was told it would be a good 'pick me up'. Can I get thrown out for this? I'm very worried.

awwwwww. This made me frown. Cocaine is a Substance
for..... "socializing or partying".... You shouldnt listen to people who tell you to do cocaine. Cocaine is Helllaaaaa Addictive. Drugs and School and Work DON'T MIX.
I live in California. I smoke Weeeed. I don coke once in a while, but am still afraid. I am 18 and I've had jobs before...
I smoke on breaks and Stuff but don't over do it cuz getting too stoneed can make you mess up. If you keeping Coke
then soon you will feel like you need it, and if you have trouble obtaining it then you will be desperate, jittery, tense and
depressed. I know because I've felt that way with Cocaine and Weedd. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME, I am a friendly user
who only wants to help! I'm about to go into college myself!
Sooo, the person who told you it would " pick you up" was right, but they didn't tell you it would bring you down as well.
PS> you shouldnt get thrown outta school for that, you could've been caught in worst situations. the fact that she didnt call the police should calm you down because at least you wont get arrested or anything.
Don't worry about school! Whatever happens......well.....happens!
Things happen 4 a reason, My mentality says "If you don't get thrown out, then God is giving you a chance to turn things around." or "He is trying to teach you a lesson" kinda cheesy, but thats how I feel about situations!
BYE GOOD LUCK! BEST WISHES!

YES you can. You are braking the law. A lot of people use cocaine as a pick-up which is a BIG MISTAKE: as the effects wear off every thing becomes worse so you use more. Then the only thing that matters is the drug-YOUR HOOKED. Hope fully you were caught before this took place, and this could play to your advantage. If you are willing to take random drug testing they mite let you stay in school, you were being an idiot!

Definately, because most schools will make it mandatory that drugs aren't allowed. Its one of those serious things that no one should be doing in school. Doesn't sound good when it involves other staff. Just tell her the truth, about how you've been struggling to handle long hours at your job, and she might let you stay in college. But drugs aren't a good thing to do because they can kill brain cells, and eventually kill you, so try to quit the addiction. Use coffee instead.

in the united states you immediately lose all federal and state school funding for life and you get thrown out of college. It also goes on your record and when an employer does a background check on you and sees cocaine, you don't get hired because nobody likes druggies. You eventually end up homeless and a street beggar. There's really a lot to look forward to.

Yes you can get thrown out. But really you have bigger issues to deal with. Using drugs to "get by" is really a bad sign. You have to quit the drugs. If you need to cut back your course load or your work hours so you can keep up, but do not resort to drugs.
I hope you can stay in school, and I hope you can steer clear of the drugs, and the people that got you into it.

There's a good chance you could get thrown out or even proscuted. Your best chance is to try and reason with her, explain your situation. She may be able to help you.
Cocaine is the worst way to go. It'll quickly move from being a "pick-me-up" to an addiction you can't cope without. It'll cost you a fortune and most probably your career if you carry on with it.

Yes, I think that you can get thrown out of college for it. However, I think that they might take into account that you have no previous record of doing anything like thta before, so they might put you on academic probabtion, and you might have to lead some sort of student meeting about the dangers of using such a drug.
I hoep this teaches you a lesson, and you get the help you deserve.

Victimless crime or not, drugs are still against the law in your country, so yes, you could get kicked out... Or sent to prison!
Lay off the coke. If you're working long hours, the extra expense of a coke addiction will only force you to work harder. Meet with her and deal with it like a mature adult and as long as you give up the drugs, you might be able to talk yourself into rehab instead of expulsion.

Yes they could either ask you to go for good or else demand you speak to a drugs counsellor. Cocaine as a pick me up? No way! Don't ever try that kind of of pick me up again!

Hugs not drugs. Anyway, I would think that unless you are at a very conservative school, you will not get kicked out. Seriously though a coke addiction will only hurt your academics in the long run. It affects your ability to focus.
