I don't think either are insulting. I don't dislike either monkeys or dirt (matter), both of which scientific evidence suggests we came from if you just vary your time frame. I like dirt. Dirt is fun. So are monkeys. Except when they fling poo.

I would say dirt.And it isn't really insulting as it is ridiculous to suggest that we were just made one day out dirt.
I'm a little clay pot.Short and hard.These are my arms filled with dirt made lard.

The former--the idea of having ape ancestors.
So what if man was formed out of clay? God created him personally.
Now if evolution were true (which it's not), ultimately we came from some goo. God made man out of clay--so what's the difference, really?

Well, since the truth is that we came from the dust of the ground and it's a lie that we descended from apes, I'd say that I'm much more insulted by people insisting we are descended from apes.

Or do you not consider it an equally valid hypothesis as Christian Creationsim? That's just unfair. If you're going to accept Christian creationism, you have to allow for aliens too.
