Who said man came from a monkey???
God says I am created in His image, and He is not a monkey.
Adam and Eve werent monkeys, were they?
Not confusing at all.
Evolution is a THEORY and that simply means it has never been PROVEN true.
God says He created us out of the dust of the earth. I think , since He was there, and actually did the deed, He should know how it came down, dont you? Wink

People would take you a lot more seriously if you made the effort to spell correctly and communicate clearly.
Humans did not evolve from monkeys, or even apes. Humans and monekys and apes all evolved from a common primate ancestor that no longer exists. So apes are more our genetic "cousins" than our grandparents.
Also, evolution neither proposes nor denies that there might be a God - God could have created this primate and then directed this creature's evolution into humans.
Please stop trolling and tossing out hot-button issues just to gain attention. Either ask real questions that you really want to know the answer to, or go find a chat room somewhere else.

This is a common misconception. Evolution does not say that people came from monkeys--it says that at one point in time humans shared a common ancestor with monkies. I for one, have never had any problem with belief in God and evolution. I believe that evolution is the mechanism through which God creates diversity of life. Why is it not in the Bible or other texts? -Would it really have been necessary or meaningful for God to reveal this stuff to the ancient Hebrews? -Stuff like evolution and DNA for example? And who is to say that God is any more or less a monkey than he/she/it is anything else?

We didn't "come from monkies" nor did we evolve from them. Humans and the great apes evolved together from a common ancestor. If people are going to attempt to refute evolution I suggests they do some research and get their stories straight before taking it on, lest they look like ignorant fools.
To the first answer: Creationism is also a theory that had also never been proven true. Evolution is more probable.

first of all, the genus homo sapien sapiens evolved from the great apes, not monkeys. this means that we are actually a species OF ape that split from a common ancestor about 5 to 7 million years ago which is why you still see chimpanzees, orangutans, and gorillas. this is the answer to that most insipid of questions by the 'faithful' who don't know anything about evolution...

God is not a monkey because man never came from monkey. The whole idea of evolution is nonsense. If evolution is true (mutation is not evolution) why did things stop evolving, because it is now in a comfortable state? If that's true why do we see monkeys? Seeing that evolutionist believe that man came from monkeys because they wasn't happy about their state, why aren't the present monkey evolving also? It doesn't make any sense. God exist and he created all things. Laugh now... but i garuntee you later you'lll cry.

Why is God a he, for that matter?
Awfully convenient for God to be male, considering that societies around the time of Jesus were generally patriarchical.
Perhaps to maintain their power, those who transcribed the word of God transformed the nebulous entity God into a masculine one?
