I took him to the vet and all he said was to try to feed him different foods to find one that he likes better, but he still doesn't want to eat.

I am assuming your vet did a physical exam, blood work, an urine analysis, x-rays, and an oral exam?

If all results were within normal limits then I would suggest you get him on a high guality food. Try Canidae, Timberwolf, Innova, Merrick, Wellness, Evo.

YOU chose the food you would like to stick with, not your dog. Your dog will eat when he is hungry.

How long as he gone without eating?? Lethargic? Vomiting? Diarrhea? Any other concerns?

How long has it not eaten?

Dogs can be like kids - if the dog is still drinking water - let it go without food - the dog will start eating again. The only time you need to be concerned is if the dog is lethargic, acting wierd, not drinking water, or is skinny to the point of seeing all the ribs.

Don't give it a different food unless you are feeding petstore or grocery store foods. If you are feeding a brand you can pickup from one of those stores go here http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com and get a good 5 or 6 star rated DRY food.

People get so weird when their dogs don't eat. When my dog doesn't eat, I'll feed it to her the next feeding. Eventually they will eat when they are hungry enough.

Don't change foods -- that will make his pickiness worse. Feed him a quality diet to start off with and keep him on it (Innova and Canidae are good foods)

As long as there are no other signs of possible illness (lethargy, diarrhea, vomiting, being a little "off") then don't make a big deal out of it.

A Chiweenie is a Chihuahua/Doxie mix.

I think that if it's been a while and he still won't eat you should go see the vet again.

Then take him to another vet, or tell that vet that you're still having no luck! If the vet doesn't hear from you, he'll assume all is well, won't he?

We can't help on here, we don't know what's wrong with the dog!!

If the dog is otherwise healthy, just put the food down and don't offer anything else. He'll eat when he's hungry.

Look for a doggie boutique in your area - they often will have sample bags of dog food that they give away. If your pup is not eating anything - consider making a batch of satin balls for him http://www.njboxers.com/satin-balls-recipe.htm
they are often used for dogs that do not want to eat - you will need to reduce the quanity for a smaller dog.
