In one of the other questions about a young adult leaving your religion, one of you answered that he'd become "rebellious," although he was over 18.

Do you still expect your family to welcome you in their home with open arms, though you've left their faith?

Honestly, I feel some leave because they don't want to live the life style, some because they are trying to rebel, and some because they disagree with some tenant or belief.

My decision to be a Witness was my own to make. Currently it is just my mother, myself, and a smattering of other relatives in other cities and states who are Witnesses. As for non Witness relatives and accquaintances we keep things civil when it comes to beliefs.

That is where I draw my feelings on why someone is living as they do.

It is reminscent of a question I recently answered on here. A person was claiming that he/she was homosexual and that it was no one elses business. However the very fact that she is going out of her way to bring it up is an attempt to make it the business of others. It is a "HEY LOOK AT ME" action.

When people say they have their beliefs or their beliefs change, that is fine, however when they make a big stink about it and go out of thier way to be rude about it it certainly appears the person is simply doing things to cause trouble/get attention/be rebelious.
