Darwin: there's a lot of differences. The Supreme Being must logically be One otherwise it would not be supreme. God is a lot different from polytheistic deities- Even the Hindus know that.

God can be known through natural reason. Pagan deities cannot.

I'm sorry, I don't have access to that kind of technology, nor samples that I can analyse. Even then, it'd hardly be conclusive. They could use constructs or transmissions.

I'd assume they evolved, as part of the natural processes associated with the creation of the universe. They probably started out similar in many ways to us, until they reached some sort of technological singularity.

You do know most humans don't know the nature of what humans are made of? For crying out loud! Given the amount of education that was required for me to understand the fundamental substructures of terrestrial life within the limitations of OUR science, I assume that a far more advanced species with more complex technology requires even more education, unless they've developed some sort of information dump technology, which I'd need FAR more experience of them to know and is just gross speculation on my part.

Isn't the term 'God' also used to describe a combination of all elements that run the universe?
Anyway, it makes a ton more sense to me that any gods/goddesses are really old souls who started out as spirits, once upon a time, and through various reincarnations, experienced different lifestyles and choices, gained wisdom, evolved into souls and eventually gained enough knowledge to become godlike.
A single individual who is perfectly formed with no beginning and no reason to create anything, but does anyway, is non-sensible. That, and supposedly loving even though there is a demand to believe, with no real evidence or proof, that he exists and is the only one that exists. If not, then this deity punishes you eternally after you die. Absurd.

I believe that the ruling gods came into existence in the same time as the realms that they have dominion and control over, each controlling his or her own area to which all others must recognise their dominance. I cannot prove their existence, as no one can PROVE the existence of their gods--that is why it's called faith, something anyone of ANY religion should be able to understand, and atheists should be able to respect, if belief is handled rationally and not disrespectfully stated to be the only way or the right way for anyone else.

You are asking too broad of a question because first you have to divide pagans into theistic pagans and non theistic pagans, and after you look only at the theistic pagans you have to pick one of the hundreds of theistic pagan religions. Then you can ask your question. If you ask all pagans, it's impossible to get a completely true answer.

Our Gods have as many origin stories as there are Gods... They are all different & diverse!

As to what our gods are made of... well it certainly depends on your interpretation. As for me, I can't say, I'm not a Goddess!

I do believe that their divine spirit does flow through everthing, and thus everything IS divine.

They are made of bubble gum and jelly beans and, if I remember correctly, Leprechauns made them. Not like the Christian god, he's made of dog poop - made by a dog. Or maybe I have that backwards. I can't remember anymore. I'm starting to think that all this religious crap is just made up.

as an atheist carl, i'd like to ask you that same question. can you do it?

carl, you DO realize your "logic" is well, fuzzy at best.

where did this supreme being come from? you can't answer that "logically" and the answer to my question, and yours, was not given anywhere in your statement...
