Here is an easy one. Season chops with a little salt and pepper. Brown your chops in margarine and add a can of mushroom soup. Slice an onion and put the slices on top, cover and simmer for about 30 minutes or so till the chops are tender or cooked to your liking. The sauce in the pan will be your gravy to put over mashed potatoes or cooked rice.

Start by browing your pork chops in a little olive oil. Just cook them enough to lightly brown the outside. Take them out of the oil and add 2 cloves chopped garlic, 1/2 chopped white onion, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Saute until the onions are translucent. Then add about 2-3 tablespoons of flour and make a roux, you may need to add a little more oil. Whisk your roux until it starts to turn brown. Then add about 1-2 cups( you just have to eyeball it) of chicken stock ( or water with chicken granules works too). Whisk together until the flour is incorporated with the stock. Season with salt and pepper if needed and I like to add a little thyme and cayenne pepper. Put the pork chops back in the gravy and cover. Simmer on medium-low heat for about 25 minutes. You can serve with mashed potatoes and you already have a gravy made. Hope you like it:)

PORK CHOPS WITH GRAVY

4 pork chops
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
1/4 c. catsup

Sprinkle a little salt on pork chops and brown on both sides. While chops are browning, make gravy according to directions on package. Mix in the catsup. When pork chops are browned, place in a greased pan big enough so that they can lay flat in one layer. Then pour gravy over pork chops and cover with foil and bake 30 minutes in a 350 degree preheated oven.

I just kind of threw this recipe together, and it is a huge hit with my husband and my brother. Saute one sliced onion with a package of slice mushrooms in about 2 tablespoons of butter. Salt and pepper them to your taste. Add one can of Roasted Garlic and Mushroom Soup to the onion and mushroom mixture. Add 2-3 tablespoons of sour cream and stir. This is so good and tastes great over pork chops!
