Of course you can! For $500 million you could buy a boat load. You can get them in either diecast, plastic, or there is even an RC version if you really want to fly one.

Figures are: $112 M per plane but you must by the technology also so that is around $300 M, that is if you're the government. If you'll buy only 1 plane, it'll cost you more than $500 M. Plus, do you believe the Lockheed-Martin Corp will let you get a hold of a plane that the government wanted in the first place? In addition, it's a contract bought by the USAF, so no external buyers, until in the far future... Around year 2050

It is against the law in the US (and probably any other country that the US is a military ally of) to own any military aircraft that is not designated as "historic" by the Pentagon. The cut-off on what is "historic" and what isn't is completely arbitrary, but currently is hovering around the WWII and Korean War era planes.

There was a guy who put of about half of an F-14 on eBay a year or two ago. Feds were all over him wanting to know where he got it from. Pretty sure he cooperated enough that they didn't prosecute him after he turned it over.

As someone said, try to buy the air force first. The jet is still in service and has many secret technologies that cannot be handed over to foreign countries. You may be sincere and swear on your mothers grave that you would never sell the jet to China or whoever but when foreign countries come and offer you billions and benefits, you're going to buckle. Also even if you never sell it, if you crash it in a foreign country they can just take it if it's in a good enough condition to get information on the technologies involved. And the whole country would then hate you.

No you would not be able to buy it! The Japanese government have requested information from congress with regards to a purchase of the F22 which has been declined! So if the Japs cant get their hands on it your money wont.

Not a chance, in fact the Feds would be asking you many questions if you were to inquire about it. I would take my 500 million and just buy a nice beach house someplace.

No you can't buy a F-22. It is a brand new fighter, and there are only a few dozen in operation.

Now, the old F-18 that it is replacing I am sure you could make a bid on.

HELL NO. You may be able to get a F-4 or something retired from military service but you will not be able to buy a F-22 the US militarys newest fighter. Why would they let you have access to their most recent technology, who knows what you would do with it. Maybe turn it over to someone we dont want to have it, Iran, North Korea. etc

The Dealer has no stores so your option is only a bone yard... do you think you will find a brand new Cadillac SLR in a bone yard? not for a while... give it about 30 years and they will start showing up... do not mean to be sarcastic, I would want one too!
