As a religious man with a science background I see God as the only "logical" explanation for anything. It is true that scientifically it is tough to swallow, but in the end science is always fallable. Faith in God comes down to a paradigm shift. One can argue biology, physics, mathematics, or any other number of scientific fields, but when you get down to the true basics there is something in every field of science that cannot be explained, hence the constantly evolving theories. The Big Bang theory involves dust, gases, and the combination of them all.......It has been accepted that in the universe exists dark matter. Matter that can't be seen and emits no light, but has a gravitational force. When following scientific explanations you will find them all to be finite, yet we have no proof that the universe is finite. So I ask you this. If there is no God, where did the dust come from, where did the gases come from, and how 'bout that dark matter??? Some of those scientific answers are a bit vague, so for me the only logical answer to everything is God. As far as the Bible is concerned some believe it to be the word of God, some believe it to be more of a story book of guidelines, but regardless there are a lot of answers for someone such as yourself. Someone who seems to have a lot of questions, and I pray that you will find that understanding. Take your scenical outlook and put it to the test. Read and study the Bible. I did about ten years ago, and it brought me to my conclusion.

I'm led to believe that you don't believe in God. Neither do I, although I don't debate his existence.
God exists.
He exists in the hearts and minds of Christians.
Just like Mickey Mouse exists on paper, in film, and in the minds and memories of anyone who has ever seen him.
Existence is relative, my friend.
It is belief that changes the nature of existence. I believe, therefore I am.
I do not believe in God, but I acknowledge his existence.
After all, if he didn't exist, we wouldn't have the capability to discuss him, as there would be no subject, therefore no conversation.
((((hugs))))
May peace go with you throughout your life.
Little additions:
Bruce B. Though there is currently no proven scientific explanation against the existence of god, there is also no proven explanation for the existence of god.
Therefore the question will always create a stalemate between the two sides.
If however, one chooses to take neither side in this particular debate, then there can be no loss when and if proof is eventually found.
Johnny R:
I would then question the Bible further. I would point out that apparently God loves his entire creation, and surely it would be very anti-god to turn away a needy soul.
Double standards can be very damaging

What I want to know is why is it important to prove that God doesn't exist? It's like your the missionary who has to get the believers to stop it so you feel good about yourself.
If you don't believe in God good but don't make fun of those who do. Every day of the week on this group somebody says the same things that you are and the same people answer the same way.
Alright you don't believe whoopee doo now go back to sleep.

There is nothing that could prove god's existence to me. We live in a world where things like Photoshop can manipulate the simplest of details to make them look truthful.
Even if god was to land on the White House lawn and declare "I am god", people would come running and immediately assume that it was "their" god.
There is nothing god can do to show his/her/its existence. God has created too big a mess to allow any sorting-out to occur.

Absolutes exist in the form of ideas=>Ideas are a product of personal intelligence(mind)=>A personal intelligence(mind) exists to create absolutes.
This intelligence would be the infinite-personal-creator otherwise known as God.
We are creatures that perceive ideas and test there validity.

you sound like an angry man,
if you don't beleive, then nothing anyone tells you will make you belieive so it comes down to 2 simple alternatives
if when you die, you beleive you came from slime and are going back to it, then you should not have a problem with that
the alternative is if when you die, and one day you get ressurected
and you see a whole load of people walking into heaven
and an angel infornt of you says, whoa boy where are you going?
and you say oh um...but i have been good
and he says....you did not do many crimes, but you never beleived in this place, you never beleived in paradise, these people did, and this is their reward, you beleived in slime, so very shortly after they have all gone it, i will turn you back to slime again
how would you feel?

Even if that particualr deity showed up and said 'I am the good Lord', I'd have to ask where the others are and why is he the one killing and demanding death but Satan never does? All he does is 'lead us into temptation' so I'd want to know where the 'good guy/girl' is.

Why are you so angry if you are so sure that God doesn't exist? I think it is very illogical for people to be so angry at something they think doesn't exist. You are not convincing me.
