most people that can go on a spin for an hour about how bad pit bulls are really don't have much to say, and its because these people have 9 times out of 10 never been around one.
they're so sheltered and incubated by what the media feeds them they don't know fact from fiction. next time you hear one of these morons get wrapped up in their bullcrap just ask them, have you ever known or owned one of these dogs? i bet they say no. in fact i bet they couldn't tell the difference between a pit and a boxer. or a pit and a collie, for some of the ones I've met.
I've had people so dumb, come up and pet my dog (a purebred pit bull) and they just loathed over how sweet and gentle natured she was, then they ask, so what kind of dog is she? when i tell them, they're jaws drop open like they've just handled the black plague. they then back into the wall behind them stammering eyes wide open, how could they be so blind to the truth?
its a sick society we live in but we've been dealing with this type of problem for hundreds of years, its never gonna stop, racism and racial profiling is everywhere.
and hun, yous gotz ta work on yo spellin. lol lol. ok im done.

My popular comedian to ever grace the face of the earth; Spoken by using a pit: "Yeh, they experienced me to be a struggling with canine/ combat to the dying/ No mercy, no reason/ basically mindless, mindless violence... a Monster./ i did no longer ask for this/ Grrrrr/ look at what i've got grow to be.../ basically like Them." for this reason human beings hate pits, and for this reason i'm no longer able to stand whilst human beings like pits as a results of fact they're "hard". human beings bred pits to be struggling with canines, shield canines; VIOLENT canines. Now, its no longer the canines' fault, its the folk. of direction there are some evidently violent pits. there are of direction violent rotts, labs, huskies, poodles, greyhounds, beagles, Chihuahuas, shi tzus.. they're animals. basically like us. they're persons. decide to appreciate why all of us understand of countless violent pit situations? the information basically comments this species and others like it, so as that the standard public will hear and be swayed right into a attitude.the issue is, we focus on the undesirable no longer the forged. whilst have you ever seen on the information; Pit Bull will become little boy's terrific chum, or Pit Bull helped little female up whilst she fell from a swing. No, those do no longer make exciting memories; there is not any drama, no longer something to make a watcher bowled over. Ugh, i've got lost my element. easily, if his thoughts is snapped closed on some thing like this, his thoughts could be bolted close on different themes that are important to you. Open-mindedness is a reliable trait. i do no longer understand who this guy is to you, yet you will desire to stand your floor on issues which you're obsessed with. persons are basically ridiculous.. I prefer all and sundry might comprehend what marvelous canines the "undesirable" ones could be. Even mutts are frowned upon.. what's the component to a pit bull ban? shouldn't they be banning the dogfighters no longer the canines?? :/ reliable success, and have a large day! EDIT:: the ingredient to bear in thoughts with any canine, is they're animals. And canines are not meant to be laid back, they have been bred from wolves and so on. they are in a position to't rationalize issues like we can. So, on an identical time as there could be undesirable eggs in each and each batch, the completed dozen should not be penalized for it. there'll constantly BE VIOLENT canines. those canines won't all be pit bulls. Nastiness can infect even the cutest (cough-anklebiter) bushy ingredient! Nature v. Nurture. wager what; its the two. all and sundry knows this. look at youngsters!

If you HAD to be bitten by a Pit or a Lab, which would you choose??? Personally, I would take the Lab, thank you.
THERE is the reason that people are "careful" about Pits. I don't hate them, but I think of all the people that own them, probably 3/4 of them shouldn't. They ARE different from other breeds. That is just a fact. I could never take two Newfs and make them fight to the death. They do not have that kind of temperment. Pits do. That is why they are SOO good for dogfighting!!! It is pretty easy to get them to do that. Total idiots and teens can get them to do that....so part of it has to be genetics and instinct. THAT is dangerous when put in the wrong hands. Most people shouldn't own Rottis either. They are more aggressive and need strong handling.
If people would actually admit that pits are by nature more aggressive and need expeerienced and knowledgeble owners, less pits would bite and society would have less problem with them.

The painful truth about the pit bull hype is a bad spin by the press. Pits are victims of the bad publicity that comes with being an "aggressive breed". Every time there is anything that can be spun into a pit bull attack, every newspaper, on line news source and TV station will air it as they know people have been convinced this breed is a horrible threat to people.
With all of the communities considering breed legislation, it is going to be harder and harder for the owners to find places to live. If you look now in many shelters, over 50% of the dogs are pitties and pit bull mixes. No one wants what they consider a dangerous dog and no one wants to rent to someone who owns one of these dogs. ANY breed of dog will bite or attack given the provocation. A prime example of how even pitties that have been raised to fight can be good dogs is the number of the Vick pitties that are going into family homes and rescues. Only 1 of the Vick pits that lived is being put down for temperment problems.

Pits are good dogs, if you train them right and raise them right. Unfortunately, alot of people who own them don't do that, and it creates a bad reputation for them. There are other dogs that can be just as mean.... I have a Pit, that was raised right. She is not mean, has never bit anyone.....she is gentle with children and adults. This weekend at the dog kennel SHE was attacked by two black labs. They pierced holes in her face all the way through to her mouth. Do you ever hear about things like that in the media? My niece was attacked also by a lab, and got stitches in her face at the age of five.... still has scars from it. It's about the reputation.......

I agree with you. If you don't understand the breed, or dogs, don't make any judgment about them. My husband met a pit bull at a specialty show and that pit bull was giving him kisses. I bet those people would never can imagine that.

In bold type you wrote LEARN???? BEST thing anyone considering a bully breed can do. Pitbulls are over generalized YES, but they are also know for their aggression and ability and willingness to fight to the end. (whether they are fighting to guard a home from a burglar or figting the other un-neutered male dog(s) for the right to breed the un-spayed female in the neighborhood) I don't hate Pitbulls, or ANY breed of dog for that matter. What I hate is the largely uninformed population of owners of any high maintenance breed. YOU ALL(ON YA) HAVE TO ADMIT THERE ARE ALOT OF "UNINFORMED" (sorry caps lock, not yelling)owners out there. Just read thru the ?'s.
Human racism in NO WAY can be compared to "dog breed racism". Humans have to abilty to reason and understand right from wrong. Dogs do not. Hatred for a human cultural background, religious belief or skin tone is learned behavior. Not liking a particular breed of dog (or horse for that matter) because of that breeds known characteristics is a matter of choice. EX: My mom loves poodles because they don't shed, and hates pugs because they shed a ton. She doesn't want to destroy the breed and everyone that owns a pug, she just chooses to avoid them near her black chlothes and furniture.
You obviously are a tough cookie if you own a Lhasa, Chow & Shith Tzu. Only the Cocker spaniel has an equal or worse reputation amongst groomers as a "biter" than the 3 breeds you own. Absolutely NO offense meant to you or your dogs OK.

Now you can learn this,
labs do not bite more than pits. Pits arent going to bite more than labs.
Neither dog is going to run around biting, PROVIDING you have a SMART and CARING owner that is actually responsible and will teach and bring that pupp up correctly.

Some people just have their own idea of what a dog breed is like. I have chihuahuas and they have their own bad rep that is totally unfair. People think they are vicious little ankle biters. My dogs are some of the most well mannered dogs anywhere. People are amazed when they come to my house, how well behaved they are. Some people just believe what they believe.
