Did they send legal letters to Skeptic organizations such as http://www.csicop.org/ and http://www.skeptic.com/ ? Does the fear of such letters may influence the Skeptics organizations?

I know very well that Scientology is sending this kind of letters all the times. I am interested specifically about the situation with Skeptic organizations.

Windom Earle: The problem is that I want to remain anonymous. Perhaps those on Y!A working for these organizations also wants to remain anonymous, so we have a problem of communication (- ;

Stedway: I posted different versions of this question for two reasons:

1) Apparently the questions get caught and filtered by Y!A so that it didn't show in the list of four, but only in the long list (where you probably saw it), so I didn't receive much answers.

2) The answers were not specific about the Skeptic organizations, and I wanted to know specifically about Scientology Vs Skeptic organizations.

So because of 1) and 2) I tried a few times.

How many times are you going to post this question?

By the way, website like xenu.net have done well against their attacks.

Apparently they did but Id be curious about when the last one was sent. Nowadays they are splintering into non-church versions, and there doesnt seem to be much to fight about.

The only letters Ive actually seen lately have been to places like CafePress and were fairly basic copyright notices like any organization sends if someone tries to cash in on the name, fame, (infamy) of anyone. Almost cut-n-paste the same as from the boy scouts, or Mel Gibson, or the Milk group that has "got milk".

I think you'd need to contact the organizations to find out about that.
