According to history of human height, in the 18th and 19th centuries, Europeans in North America were far taller than those in Europe. In fact, they were the tallest in the world.

Our time - several nations, including many nations in Europe, have now surpassed the US, particularly the Netherlands, and the Scandinavian nations.

Height is based on the race as well. However individuals of the same race placed in alternative habitat, with generations passed, would mutate in height from average of their race. Once progressed, following generations would exhibit new height characteristics.

Humans also progressed tremendously in height comparing to their “ancestors” from dark ages.

The height progression is explained by the habitat changes- standard of living and quality of life, diet, etc.

HOW IS THIS NOT AN EVOLUTION?

Adaptation, microevolution... This is as much as we can observe and pin point. Just because we can’t observe transition of species it does not mean it’s not happening.

In biology, evolution is the change in the inherited traits of a population from generation to generation. How is the height change from generation to generation is not a change of inherited traits?

It is adaptation not evolution.

T Ferguson,

What you describe is not Dawinian Evolution but instead mutation according to the allelle frequency. Evolution is that one species evolves from another and has little to do with adaptation. Evolution in definition changes at least in every generation just to keep the theory alive. It is a false theory as time has proven.

BECAUSE IT IS NOT EVOLUTION - READ -

ev·o·lu·tion (v-lshn, v-) KEY

NOUN:

A gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form. See Synonyms at development. (development - noun -
A progression from a simple form to a more complex one: evolution, evolvement, growth, progress, unfolding.)

The process of developing.
Gradual development.

BECAUSE THEIR HEIGHT CHANGED DOES NOT MAKE THEM MORE COMPLEX OR A BETTER FORM!

Biology
Change in the genetic composition of a population during successive generations, as a result of natural selection acting on the genetic variation among individuals, and resulting in the development of new species.
The historical development of a related group of organisms; phylogeny.
A movement that is part of a set of ordered movements.

ONES HEIGHT DOES NOT MAKE THEM A NEW SPECIES! FINISH THE SENTANCE - THE SENTANCE DOESN'T INCLUDE CHANGES AND USE THE WORD "OR", IT IS A CONTINUING SENTANCE THAT EXPLAINS THE COMPLETE PROCESS. IF IT ENDS BEOFRE THE PROCESS FINISHES (such as in height, yes heights varied and changed, but a new species was not developed because of it, hence humans did not evolve into something new) THEN IT IS NOT EVOLUTION TAKING PLACE. THE CHANGE YOU DESCRIBE DIFFERS THE SAME AS HAIR COLOR, EYE COLOR, ETC. A GENE FROM THE MOTHER OR FATHER CAN MAKE THESE SUTTLE CHANGES, BUT IT DOESN'T CAUSE A NEW SPECIES!

Mathematics The extraction of a root of a quantity.

That's not a good example of evolution, because they were still human. There is a lot of variation among humans right now. Look at the difference in height between the Maasai and the Pygmys. But they are both still people. They aren't different species.

There are lots of examples of evolution (dolphins from land-dwelling mammals, for example) but the height of humans isn't one of them.

1. Not all "religionists" reject evolution. Most accept it as a valid scientific theory.
2. Most creationist would define what you are talking about as "microevolution", not speciation. Most creationists accept this.
3. A lot of the height variation is due to nutrition as well.

If you believe in progress then you have been duped.

Today people accept with open arms those who our ancestors ran in terror from.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain?

We have been dumbed down. Evolution says that we are evolving into more intelligent beings.

I believe in God and that evolution is a fact. There are Christians who do realize that the Bible is not to be taken literally....
