I once had a talk with a "born again".

She felt compelled to probe into my personal religious history. When she found out that I was a Catholic, her response was:

"At least that is still Christian."

When I told her that the Catholic religion is the oldest "christian" religion, she didn't believe me. Then, she didn't believe the internet... Nor did she believe the other people around us... nor did she believe the encyclopedia.... (see a pattern?)

She was so set in her belief that her particular church was the END ALL AND BE ALL of religious awareness that she nearly melted down at the thought that her religion was an off shoot of the Catholic faith.

(A year later she was a Goth Athiest)

Are you a "fundie"? I was raised catholic but am buddhist now, either way I had no problem asking christians anything. I consider them not different from catholics and usually keep any intelligent conversation restricted to non-divine parties.

The people saying we will not be saved have gone against what God had told us. Those people sin just as much as anyone else. Ask for forgivness, you will be saved. Being born again crap is bull. Believe, repent, and live a good life, that's all God asks us to do.

I live a Catholic life, and if i need to, I can ask a priest if I have a serious question. I don't need to worry about asking Catholic questions on here.
There are a few haters on here though ;P

No, I don't believe I have. But Jesus said that the world would hate us just as they did Him. We still do as He willed to preach the Gospel He delivered to mankind. Some listen, most don't.

um...i thought catholics were christians....excuse me, they are christians....and the "christians" (belonging to protestant religions) can't say they aren't because they broke off of the catholic church.

Catholic is not the oldest christian church...the church eventually died around 70 A.D. then came back again with the Catholic church years later.

Insulted... not neccessarily.
Been called things, sent to hell, threatened, being "prayed for" and similar.... Nearly every single question.

Catholic beliefs are in direct conflict with the clear teachings of scripture. That's why true Christians don't think they are saved. So go ahead and put your head back in the sand and resume your air of superiority --- Close your big self-righteous eyes and go back to sleep.
