Dreams don't necessarily have relevant definitions in the real world. I had a dream once that I was a female porn actress. I had a dream once that I was in Iraq being shot at by children. I once had a dream I was born eight and a half months premature. None of this means anything. It's just the old brain running in circles and our consciousness trying to make sense of it all.
If it was a daydream it may mean you should look into Buddhism.

You appearing as a police officer is a sign that you were once on the path of righteousness.
The shot in your stomach was a direct attack from Satan.
The journey symbolizes that you are now questioning your faith, and have opened your mind to deception.
The damage that was done to your soul has caused you to reject your church and your pastor.
You've come to a place of embracing some form of Eastern philosophy as signified by the lotus position, and by taking your place in the circle, your deception is now complete. The big and bright sun is symbolic of Satan, who is the angel of light. He now appears to you as a confirmation of peace and enlightenment.
You should run back to Christ while you still can.

According to the activation-synthesis theory of dreams, the dream probably has no meaning at all. (Sorry, that may not be what you wanted to hear.)
Although dreams are influenced by our thoughts throughout the course of the day, this does not mean they are special messages to us that we should carefully consider.
Here's one perspective:
"Activation Synthesis Theory is a neurobiological theory of dreams, put forward by James Allan Hobson and Robert McCarley in 1977, which states that dreams are a random event caused by firing of neurons in the brain. This random firing sends signals to the body's motor systems, but because of a paralysis that occurs during REM sleep, the brain is faced with a paradox. It synthesizes a narrative by drawing on memory systems in an attempt to make sense of what it has experienced."

If your concerns are about meditation ,there is nothing wrong with a Christian meditating on the word that is.Remember cast any thought or imagination that exalt itself above the word of God.

Whoa! I'd say you're being called to meditation in a big way.
Disagree strongly with the first two answers. Your dreams always have something to say to you and it's important to pay attention.

We dream in order to solve problems. We dream to talk to the dead, but we don’t usually remember that. We have prophetic dreams. We also dream just for the fun of it. These are the only reason I can think of. What do you think of your dream? That is the only opinion that really counts.
