A word document with the picture, link, and price of products + a list of promotional codes you can use to get discounts. Nothing over $50.
Is it too presumptuous?
I'm trying to make it easy for my family because I never ask for anything and now I'm trying the opposite.

Yes my family is always asking for a list and sometimes I ask for so little or I'm so vague they end up buying the same things for me. It's weird.

You really think I should leave off the price from the list? It's not like they can't just click the link and see the price anyway. Please give me more insight

It kind of depends on how you do things. With my husband's side of family, it's always lists, because there isn't anything anyone really needs and we can never figure out what anyone wants. My husband always wants technology and it's very specific, so I want him to send me links so I get exactly the right thing. Also I frequently just want books or movies and they don't know what I already have, even if they know what I like. So a list helps there.
My side of the family is looser about gifts, but they're also easier to buy for because they don't have as much.

I think it would be fine to do...you'd probably be helping your family out. My boyfriend's parents would always ask him what he wanted for the holidays, so he decided that he would make a Word document with pictures, links, and whatnot. This was very helpful for his family because he is into computers and often wants parts to build computers, but his family doesn't know which parts to buy. Maybe you could ask your family if a list would help them? This way you know beforehand if they would want the list or not, preventing any conflict. I'm sure it will be fine either way. Take care :)

My family request Christmas lists for my children every year. I list their clothing sizes and items needed or wanted. I try to be general so my children do not look picky, but some times you have to be specific. I think that if you family requested a list then you should list the items and adding the link is great too if you think they might get the wrong thing. I would however, leave off the prices.

I dont care for it, even with family...id be offended. your just telling me what to buy you.
its not from me its from you to you with my money.
i like to get what ever my heartfelt gift that comes along while shopping for that person
and the same if someone is shopping for me
other wise just give gift cards, or money and then go buy what you Need.
its not a gift anymore, then its financial help.. not heartfelt at all. and if your talking about the Christmas season. ...then that is sad.
if you wanna make it easier on " Them" then tell them gimme me money to buy the stuff I need. and save "them" the leg work.
its so not from the heart.

No I wouldn't be offended. Wonderful idea for family. I find myself buying more and more gift cards now, as I haven't a clue what the younger generation wants, needs and uses! Great idea.

Leave out the dollar amount. The list is OK and non-offensive. It also gives people ideas of what you like. Keep in mind that you may not get what you want, or may get a reasonable substitute of the products you like.
