You met this new guy, you two really got to like each other and have been dating for a couple of days now and here it comes, the first kiss with him. He gives you a gentle kiss and then what?
I've always had that akward silence after the first kiss, not knowing what to say obviously your not going to say thanks, i just smile and look the opposite way not knowing what to say and he doesnt know what to say either. What do you do or say to avoid that akward moment after the kiss.

Why would you want to spoil the mood by talking?
There's meaning in "talk is cheap."

In moments like those, is the time to look into each other's eyes in SILENCE.

Well, if it was nice, theres nothing wrong with a second kiss. A smile works for me. You can share a moment without saying anything and it doesnt have to be awkward. Go right for the eyes, see what he's thinking/feeling.

Sometimes it is best not to say anything like you did. Actions speak louder than words and just look in the mirror. lol! Now it is the next kiss that gets you in trouble..Just be yourself and you do not have to talk about the kiss so much but when is the next one? So you can truly feel what it feels....
Then talk to each other.... Trust in your heart and it will lead you in the right dirrection.

You make light of the situation by saying " well now that was nice" or "When can we try that again"...something hilarious and light will lighten both of you up for conversation. You can always say "Where did you learn to kiss like that" even.

Say it was nice or something along those lines. If you talk first he won't feel awkward anymore. If you just look away though and smile he will know you liked it because you're speechless. He feels just as awkward as you so don't worry.

Just lean in and rest your head on his shoulder. Gives you a moment to collect your thoughts but it doesn't feel awkward because you're not looking around desperately for something to say.

You could always giggle a little bit, then he will be like "what are you giggling about?" Then just start talking.

Say something like, "That was really nice." "I would (assuming this) like to go out with you again sometime......"
The should bring a response from your partner.
