Sounds great. The chips are a good idea. Then put a tray of black olives, grated cheese, sour cream, diced green onions, and regular onion to be sprinkled on top of salad or their chili.Cornbread goes good with chili, but the chips are liter.I love mine over rice,too....Have fun.

Make a salad! It's good to have something fresh to break up the heavy-ness of the Chilli Con Carne and rice.

Serve chilli con carne with steamed rice and salad. .
Serve with tortillas
Serve with baked potato as a topping or in stuffed potatoes
Serve it with a condiment bar of chopped red onions, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro and grated cheese.
My favorite way to serve chili con carne is with a relish of diced onions, red and green bell pepper and cilantro mixed with red wine vinegar.

I enjoy a nice big crusty bun that has been heated up in the oven with butter. Sometimes I like a salad or cole slaw with it. But usually I just have the bun (or two) and a bowl of chili.

Skip the rice and do chili fries! Or ladle it over baked potatoes. I love vegetarian chili ladled over fries--yummm.
And definitely serve cornbread.
