I'm not looking for a popularity contest but I'm sure it will turn into one. Who if you had one race conditions unknown. Tony Stewart comes to mind as a guy that can drive anything. My guy Kenseth is only great under prime conditions...RESTATED!!! Who could take anything and make it go faster than the next guy? Like the Gieco comercail ... Shopping carts, go karts little boats...I just saw the comercail.

Those who hate Tony Stewart complain mostly about his temper tanrtums, but that makes him the competitor he is, who hates to lose.
Tony has ten(10) MAJOR driving championships, and is one of the few drivers in the world who can currently get in any type of car and win immediately!
You people give names but state your case. To just say Matt Kenseth when he has won nothing but one nascar championship, CARL EDWARDS??? Where does that come from. Jeff Gordan might be capable of jumping in an open wheel car and doing well, Stewart has raced prototypes, Indy, Dirt, carts, .. to see fans who just give someone's name because they love his smile, or thinks he's the best thing in jeans, you look as stupid as the MILFS on KAsey Kahne commercials.

IMHO, the best current NASCAR driver out there is Jeff
Gordon. And as for a guy that can drive anything, hands
down it's John Andretti. He's driven most everything out
there, including F1 and Top Fuel dragsters. Not many
drivers out there can say that. It's just to bad he never really
excelled at any of the different types of cars that he's driven.

The best driver in NASCAR today would be Jeff Gordon.
Pure raw talent and a throw back to the drivers of the 60;s would be Tony Stewart.

Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart are definitely @ the top of everyone list, or atleast they should be. They've proved when it comes to any form of 4 wheel racing, they have what it takes to get it done and win. Another highly talented driver in the CUP ranks is Juan Pablo. Many people don't want to hear it because they hate the guy for whatever reasons, but truth be known he is one of the most talented drivers out there. We may not like him because of his wreckful rookie season, or his cocky attitude..but his resume speaks for itself.

Tony is the most versitile driver. He can drive anything, and has the championships to prove it. Unlike gordon, tony has championships from other series, he just rocks!!
