That's not false advertising, it's an opinion.
False advertising is when they tell you they are going by some certain policy or sale and they don't.

Well, it's more a matter of opinion, isn't it? I'd hardly get all up in the air because people are proud of their country and want to encourage tourism.

Honestly, would you want to visit if it said "Scotland. It's pretty decent but you can't understand the locals, it rains a lot and stay away from the haggis." would you?

Please note, that was an example, not a real comment on Scotland, so don't jump on me, either.

Would you have visited Florida if their advertising said "We have a bunch of grouchy old people, the state is slowly sinking, we are heavily armed and watch out for the alligators and the 3 inch flying cockroaches."?

How about "Come to Miami. Our violent crime rate is 12 times higher than the national average."?

Truth is not really a great way to advertise and tourist advertising is just a whole other branch of creative writing!

There's no law against hyperbole. To be false advertising there would have to be a more specific claim. "The Greatest Show on Earth" or the "World Series", etc. don't count.

That's called freedom of speech. What you perceive as beautiful and the best may not be so appealing to someone else, i. e. the advertiser.
