The PS2 was the king of the previous generation of consoles, I don't care what anybody says. The PS2 had way better games: Jak and Daxter series, God of War, The Getaway, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo 4 and the list goes on and on.
I don't know how Xbox owners used that big, bulky controller, the PS2's controller just fit perfectly in your hand. And the Xbox system was so huge, as a matter of fact I think that it was even bigger than the PS3.
I remember several years ago, an Xbox owner even admitted to me the truth. He said that "The Xbox has slightly better graphics, but the PS2 has better games" and I'm not making that up, he really said that. Also, at the time the PS2 had the Grand Theft Auto series and that made the PS2 even more popular than the Xbox and then like 2 years later the Xbox finally got Grand Theft Auto.

PS2 is better. To be fair I HATE the xbox controller. I use a Pelican one so that it is set up like the PS2 controller. Oh and if the Xbox style is so much better why did MS switch for the 360? I admit the hard drive for the Xbox was an advantage. Messing with memory cards though? Come on you just keep track of space and you won't have to "mess" with them. The PS2 has more games, and even if the graphics are better on the Xbox they aren't anything I really miss. Call me a fanboy for having a prefrence if you want, and at the same time I can call you a MS fanboy.

That depends on what you are into. PS2 is a platforming and RPG machine. Xbox is mainly shooters (both 1st and 3rd). I like the PS2 because of the wide selection of games that has come out over the years. Multiplayer wise, I would give the nod to the Xbox.

If you're asking which is better, it all depends. I owned both, and I got a great deal more enjoyment out of the Xbox. Its controllers are better, it has a disk drive, so there's no memory card to fool with, and it just had games which were more fun than the PS2. Your response, SNE fanboys?
