What would you do if you woke up to find yourself totally stark naked in the your town/city centre? (Before anyone says anything - I know it's hardly likely to happen, just a hypothetical question).

Not that this ever would happen, but if id did I wouldn't be too bothered. I'm a nudist so I don't mind other people seeing me nude. Just about anyone who might see me out there would either already know I was a nudist and not think much of it or wouldn't know me at all and just think I was some kind of freak, get an eyeful, and go about their business.
If id didn't have to worry about being arrested, I'd probably just go about my day in the nude and think nothing of it, but since our society has an unfortunate problem with nudity I'd probably head home as quickly as I could and find some clothing, reluctantly put it on (assuming I wasn't staying home once I got there--if I was I'd stay nude), and think about how great a feeling my unexpected nude romp through town was.

I was waiting in Gatwick airport once when a woman came out of the ladies cloakrooms totally naked and started to walk down the long corridor, the funny thing was nobody took a bit of notice and a male member of staff took off his jacket and ushered her back into the cloakrooms. Apparently she had come from a nearby mental hospital, and it was quite common for the patients from there to make their way to Gatwick and spend the day up there in the warm.

Well given your story I would be in the center of Belleville - there is a bar I frequent just 2 blocks down from the fountain so I would walk there and start a tab (believe me I would want a Jack n Coke). Then I would have Andy (the bartender) find me something to cover up in and ask him to call me a taxi. I always have cash at home so I could pay the taxi at home.

Start walking home. What else could you do at that point? Maybe ask someone for a bit of cloth and a shoestring.
I'm sure the cops would pick me up pretty quick. But I bet it's always the case: You are naked with your girl, they are right there. In embarrassing situations such as this, you won't see a single one.

Well, if this were to happen, I was probably drunk at one point of the evening....
After I was no longer mentally freaking out, I'd probably run through the town like I was purposly streaking. All the while I'd be looking for a place to find something to cover up with.

I would call my Grandma and borrow some of her unfitting clothes b/c she lives closer to the comm. Center. Then I would go home put some of my clothes on and wash hers to give back.
Last I would have a pshycologist hypnotize me so I could find out what happend or have the police invenstagate the strange event in my life.

i'd probably look for something to hide my most precious parts... like a magazine, or newspaper. Walking home is probably unevitable, since nobody would talk to such a crazy human. Either i'd go to a police station, if it was near, and tell them the story (that actually i woke up naked in the middle of town) or, if home was nearer, i'd simply hurry to get home, trying to hide my face from ppl's shocked and disgusted's looks.

I would ask someone for a phone or go to a payphone and call someone to pick me up. I would stay out of sight. If it was not illegal to be naked in public I would just walk home being careful not to step on anything sharp! It would be crazy!

I have no problem with being nude in public I am a nudist and am for the freedom to be naked where one wishes to be, Nudity is Freedom in mind, body and soul its so liberating and unihibited to be free of clothing outdoors, Viva NIF

That would be a nightmare! I guess find a public toilet, run in, hope i had my mobile phone with me and call my other half, tell him to bring me some clothes. Having said that ... He'd be that busy laughing if i did i might be locked in the toilet for a while.
