I realize know is vague - some I can read, some I can write, some I know , but I can't write like turtle (kame) or hair (hami)
I still have a lot of trouble with murasaki as well.

I can't either. The thing is we no longer have to hand-write Kanji most of the time thanks to PCs. Being able to figure out their meaning is one thing, being able to write them is another. I guess you love the challenges regardless of how practical it is to learn how to write difficult ones now that we don't really have to. Anyway it's awesome that you know that many. Keep up the good work.
