I'm 19 years old and this girl who I'm friends with is 18 years old. I drove her to school today, We had a small argument and she said that I was argumentative, which I'm not. We then talked a lot at a park in my car. She said some hurtful things, she said that I'm too shy and that she dosen't like it when people are shy because she likes to have feedback on what she is saying and then she said that I shouldn't talk bad about her friend even though her friend treats me like crap and I was just sick of it and then she got really mad. She also said that I just want to live an average life and I was kind of offended by that because she made it seem like I wasn't going to go far in life. After all of this she got a ride from a friend to school which kind of upset me because I woke up early and the one day I was able to sleep in because I don't have school on tuesdays or thursdays she finds another ride. Should I just forgive and forget about today?

thanks

Was I wrong to ask her in a text when I got home that i was wondering if she liked hanging out with me? because I said to her that she made it sound like she didn't. She hasn't responded btw. Despite all of this I still REALLY like her and she knows it. We have been friends for about a year now. When we do hang out we have a good time and we laugh a lot and talk. BTW I'm trying to be the nice guy and offering to give her rides everyday to school, and I always pay and drive when we do hang out, but sometimes I don't like the way she treats me. What should I do? I don't want to lose her as a friend though because I like her a lot.

Then just tell her that exactly , I want to remain friends, but as far as anything more serious , i just dont think we were meant for each other. You know i wish only the best for you and apparently we are not best for each other , so lets move on :)

You don't want to lose her as a friend.....hmmm....it doesn't sound like she is BEING a friend. Don't get taken advantage of......does she ever even offer you gas money for all those rides? Being a nice guy IS the right thing to do....but ONLY when others are appreciative and respectful to you in return. Don't let anyone wipe their feet on you, life is too short!
Good luck & don't SETTLE!
