If you are newly exposed, you can see your doctor for an injection of hepatitis B immune globulin but this must be given within 24 hours. In some cases, it will prevent getting Hepatitis B.

Once you have it, there is not much that can be done. Usually, the doctor will just monitor your condition unless you show signs of liver damage. The doctor may try anti-viral medications. Once your liver is severely, a transplant is the only option.

To manage Hepatitis B:
avoid alcohol
eat healthy (whole grains, fruits, veggies, lean meats)
exercise regularly
avoid medications that cause liver damage
get adequate rest
These steps will help you stay healthy longer. If you are tired, rest...do not push yourself! Of course, with Hepatitis B causing damage to your liver, it is imperitive that you protect your liver as much as possible so avoiding certain medications (when possible) and alcohol if essential.
