Dirtier Martini,
The reason I asked the question was because of the Presidential election there are those that will be basing their vote on the politicians position on the war and those that will be basing it on the candidates position of illegal immigration since this is the immigration forum i thought that i would get the views from both sides. As you can tell by the answers we are discussing Illegal immigration

It is what the media wants us to hear under the guidelines of managed news.
If everyday the media talked about a frog crossing the road and every station had it within less then a week that would become the most important issues and everyone would be focused on it.
Most people are fixated on what ever the news puts out and when you have 24/ 7 repeat of the same news every 15 minutes it becomes a form of brainwashing.
Fact " out of sight out of mind" and that is what managed news wants.

You are fixated on Illegal immigration when in fact it is the total immigration that is the problem.

Your fixated on the cost of education, health, prison and welfare of illegals, but when you import massive poor uneducated and educated low wages immigrants legal and illegal you have the same major problems.

This country is in major trouble and we have no way of solving the problems that are escalating except adding more people to problem which will assure they will never be solved.
A sinking ship is going to sink no matter if you pay or not pay. If you third class or first class cabin. Putting more people on a ship isn't going to stop it from sinking.

The real problem is total number of immigrants that are let into the country today. If we can't slow it down it doesn't matter how they get here. This country is going to sink.

Until American citizens wake up we might as well be fixated on that FROG.

I'm starting to weary of this discourse.

They are both BIG issues. One doesn't negate the other....and comparing them in size does nothing to resolve either one of them. Making one bigger or more important doesn't diminish the other one in any way. They are simply unrelated.

Discussing immigration and then bringing up Iraq as a bigger issue is actually an avoidance tactic that is used when you are LOSING the argument on Immigration.

And the reverse is also true.

Basically it is an intellectually lazy way of defending your position.

This is the Immigration forum. Let's talk about Immigration. If we want to talk about the war in Iraq, then there are other more topic appropriate forums.

you are correct on all counts the illegals kill more us citizens than the Iraiqs. We need to get the American out of Iraiq and the illegals out of america and things may start looking up. Bush abandoned the conservatives in the US and is taking care of his illegal friends.

I say, hire the CITIZENS that lost their jobs due to illegal immigration....to help start the deportation process!! Give them a patty wagon and start loading them up and sending them back to Mexico. That way we are creating jobs for the people that lost their jobs over this huge mistake of the ridiculous, politically correct, god-forsaken government we have. And I am sure NOTHING would feel BETTER than for those people who lost their jobs... to rid our country of what hurt THEM most.

How about we bring them home from Iraq and use that money on securing our own borders and penalizing employers who hire illegals?
