After I had lost my son last year, my body did that. I was told that if you want to be pregnant so bad, your mind will tell your body that you are. I had full on symptoms for a few months. Besides the test (and doc) saying neg, I would have sworn up and down I was. All I can say is if you know someone who is going threw this, be patient. Like myself, they may have just lost a child and having a hard time dealing with it. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant, and I didnt know I was for 2 months because of this problem because I thought it was just my hea playing games on my body.

Psychosomatic pregnancy is an illness that effects the body and mind. Sometimes a person can cause the symptoms of a real illness (or pregnancy) by just having a belief they are sick (or pregnant). The can also result in weight gain and having milk production.

Very definitely! An interesting fact of history, Queen Mary of England (Bloody Mary) was reported to have had 2 phantom pregnancies.

Yes it happened to me. I missed periods, got a belly, and even felt "kicking". It was horrible to find out that it was a phantom pregnancy.
