I'm not talking about if you ask and the woman says no, I'm just wondering if there is ever a circumstance under which you wouldn't even TRY to get away with it.
And women how many men have you been on dates with where they haven't even tried anything?

Maybe if it was a blind date and it turned out to be my sister or gran. Otherwise it would have to be full on psychotic episode or body odour that actually choked me.
Anything else and I'd be pushing my luck. If she's not up for it, it's not like you've lost anything, is it? Whereas if you don't try, she might think you don't fancy her.

f I really like a woman and see long term potential, not only will I not try to have sex but if she tries I will lose respect for her- I think if something has potential both people will want to hold out. If I have sex with a woman on the first date, I wonder how many others she has had sex with on the first date. I admit to having sex on the first date with attractive women who for one reason or another I know I dont see a long term relationship assuming she isnt annoying, a snob or I find out she is a **** with possible STD stamped on her forehead or if she smokes

Yes, and the circumstance that springs to mind just now would be if I really connected with her so intensely that I could see myself married to her...in which case I would feed off of that "total" energy in lieu of trying to sleep with her right away. (Don't get me wrong, I'm trying to get at her too, but the sense of urgency is different since I want her to be around forever). There are probably other scenarios where I could come to the same conclusion, but this one stuck out in my mind because I've only experienced that dynamic once.

I would never try to have sex with a woman on a first date. it just not the type of person i am, i think it shows a total lack of respect for the person as an individual. I prefer to know the person much better before becoming intimately involved with them

but yeah generally if i find im really into the girl i generally wont try anything on the first date just a soft but suggestive kiss on the cheek... i dunno call me old fashioned

I go with the flow. If it doesn't seem like the girl wants to get very physical on the first date I won't push it. There's always the second date or the third ;). Some girls are worth the wait.

I've been on loads of dates when guys who never tried anything, because I'm very upfront with them from the very beginning that that isn't how I operate. I think it shows a real lack of respect for a guy to try to sleep with a girl on the first date. However, different strokes for different folks. It's just my opinion. :)

I've been on a few dates where guys haven't tried anything and they tend to be the ones who will contact you to go out again where as the ones who do try it on and don't get anywhere won't bother again.

Yes, if her mother was present as chaperon or father/brother/uncle with gun was nearby. If I found out that she was infected with a STD, or I was in a hurry to go somewhere or meeting my wife. Har de har har har. scrub that bit about the wife. Er.... a woman who gives you a kiss on the first date is a hussy? Are you Welsh Baptist ?

I would not "try", that is disrespectful and NOT cool! I didn't even try to kiss on the first date.
A better question is "Men if a woman offered sex on the first date would anyone say NO?"
My guess is that if a man finds you attractive he would NOT say NO!
