witness? Compared to trying to entice the unbelievers with acceptance, tolerance, and beguile them? Trusting not in ourselves but the Holy Spirit to draw them?

I think that Christians on this site would do well to encourage other believers and answer questions that are presented in a sincere tone by honest seekers for truth. Trying to entice and beguile unbelievers is trickery, and has nothing to do with living the gospel or with the Spirit of Truth. We must trust Holy Spirit to draw those who are ready to hear and to avoid condemning those who are hostile to the Lord and / or Christians. It is distressing to witness the attacks and name-calling that professing Christians have launched on this site. Did not Jesus say that our one identifying characteristic would be our love? I am not surprised that unbelievers are confused about or averse to Chrisitianity, based on what I have witnessed on this site. Unless unbelievers sense God's love in my words and tone, there is no argument, logic, or debate that will touch their hearts. "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." In my opinion, this forum is not a place to attack or ridicule unbelievers or to air the church's division and / or dirty laundry. It saddens me, and I can only imagine how it must sadden the heart of God.

I get my lifting up at church 3 times a week. Some people on here never have actually heard the Gospel and need to , so the Holy Spirit can lead them to Jesus.

If Yahoo Answers is going to be a forum for God's will I think it will be best used by helping to educate poor in spirit who seek wisdom in God rather than to argue with the ones who feel they already have all the answers.

This is a question and answer forum. I would think that we as Christians should answer religious and spiritual questions with a direct answer. Hopefully those answers would be based on the Bible and our walk with Christ.

May the Lord richly bless you. †

somewhat, the positioning is meant to income information approximately faith and spirituality with the aid of asking questions and receiving solutions from those with various faiths. all of us have the perfect to place up our comments right here. Christians have the perfect to debate how Jesus could be an excellent help in cases of worry, and atheists have the perfect to be annoyed with the aid of it. i do no longer understand if the guy who asked the question you referenced to meant that they did no longer like receiving those forms of solutions in authentic life or in this communicate board ... yet I do sense that in case you positioned up a query in R&S, be arranged to pay attention suggestion from all of us. in case you do no longer consider the advice, you do no longer ought to take it -- because of the fact for sure all of us will no longer consider all of us right here! Edit -- I appeared on the question back, and the asker did extremely say "at right here".

Yes, the best way to lead is by example. I do not feel I will be able to grow spiritually by explaining faith to non-believers. Faith is not something that can be explained. It has to be found. Possibly that is why there are so many non-believers on this site.

"To know Him and make Him known."

Telling others about the love of Christ doesn't have to be offensive---as long as we take our lead from the Holy Spirit we will be able to tell who is approachable and who is not.

That would pretty much be the only way to convince unbelievers.

It amazes me that the radical fundamentalists here spout condemnation and judgement and intolerance and hate (no matter how they spin it, it's still HATE), then wonder why atheists and other non-believers don't come to them begging for admittance to their churches.

If we do what Jesus told us to do, love one another, that would be the best -- and only true -- witness to our truth.
