I'm trying to lose 5-10 lbs. Would pretzels be a good snack to munch on?

I have a small weight problem such as yours on occasion.

If I eat nuts, pretzels, apples and grapes as snacks and get 8 hours sleep (no less than) I lose those few pounds that I gained.

I tend to stay more with the nuts, apples (sliced with a touch of lemon juice to prevent browning, it tastes unique), and grapes then it is better. Make sure you drink lots of water and avoid sodas (even diet sodas, they are suppose to make you hungrier).

The pretzels are fine when you are traveling and don't have anything else to grab. (Much better for you than the chips and candies you see in the convenience stores.)

Sorry, but it's not a great food to have when trying to LOSE weight.

This is due to the sodium caused by the salt and the starch by which the pretzel itself is made. Sodium can actually cause your body to retain a lot of water which isn't too great when it comes to losing plain weight. Starches: I would try and avoid since it isn't the best carb to digest especially if you're not going to the gym right after.

No. Made with white flour and baked in fat.

Try some whole grain crackers instead. A co. named Kashi makes some really good ones. I love the cheese flavored 1s and I'm not much of a cheese person.

Yes they are. They are very low in calorie content, and have low to zero fat. They fill you up quickly so if you snack before a meal, you will not eat as much. Good choice!
