I went from fundamentalist Christianity to NewAge/Yoga to Zen Buddhism and finally to a point where I could not longer take any form of spiritual belief seriously. Call it atheism if you will.

What led me there? Knowledge, experience, insight, self-honesty.

Reading the bible led me away from Christianity
Studying gurus and spiritual leaders led me away from New Age/Yoga
And studying neoroscience led me away from Zen (although I still like zen and it is compatible with my nonbelief in a soul)

Point is, I've covered just about all the terrain of religion and spirituality. And yet these beginners on this Q&A are constantly telling me I just need to experience the holy spirit! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I was raised Christian but very slowly became an atheist. I couldn't believe that a 'loving father' would create Hell or punish anyone for a mistake. Or a life-style their biology dictated. Then, an ex of mine kept pointing out inconsistencies in the Buy-bull; I finally started reading it myself to prove him wrong and couldn't, of course. Then, I let the whole thing go, sh*t happened and now I've had the past several years to read and study it on my own terms, my own pace. I'm now convinced, more than ever, that this deity can not exist.

Kinda sorta. When I was younger I went experimenting as to denominations. At one point I got involved with baptists and pentecostals and was a pretty good little fundamentalist for a short time.

Then as I matured, I realized that the god they claim to worship is false. I definitely do NOT believe in the hateful little god of Bill O'Reilly, Pat Robertson and the ever-hateful Ann Coulter.

Instead I believe in the God Jesus taught, whose main command to us is to love one another.

So if you look at it that way -- that I don't believe in the god that the popular media purports -- then I am an atheist.

Islam to skepticism/agnosticism. Will label myself as an atheist if I have to, for convenience. I'm not a fan of all organized religions, but I find Abrahamic faiths to be especially violent, barbaric and destructive.

My story begins like many others:
It was 2 AM. There was no sound, save for the rain gently falling between the branches of the trees. I was in central Uganda, and completely naked. Charlie was close... I could smell him...

The word you have invented is not in ANY dictionary I have checked.

Thus, your question is not a valid one.
