I would say it probably counts as 1 portion.
Although the vegetables (carrots (12%), potatoes, red split lentils, onions, parsnips (5%), celery, sweetcorn, peas (3%), turnips (2%), cabbage) have all been cooked, they have been cooked in the liquid you'll be consuming.
Boiling vegetables causes some of the nutrients (vitamins in particular) to leech out - however, it doesn't necessarily destroy these vitamins, they can merely be transferred to the cooking water. Assuming that this 'cooking water' is the soup itself, it should be pretty healthy.
However, watch out, half a carton contains 25% (1.5g) of your daily recommended intake of salt!

The packaging will usually tell you if it contains a portion of fruit/veg. I know a tin of baked beans counts towards the five a day because of the tomato sauce, so it's quite possible that the soup does.

i would say no, as they have been processed and all the vitamins and good stuff is almost lost in the cooking and packing process
eating fresh or steamed veg and fruits is what it counts as a portion of 5-a-day
sweetcorn actually can be boiled, or potatoes, but I wouldn't think that the packed processed food counts as one of the 5 a day

It probably would be. It doesn't have to be plain fruit and veg, it counts too when mixed in things like soup, youghurt etc.

It will depend on the fruit or plant linked to a comparison. If perhaps you compare a n to a carrot, the carrot is the better of the two nutritional. But once you compare an avocado to the carrot, then your avocado is better. Equally the apple and avocado, are fruits.
