If you are 18 it isnt illegal in most states but there are a couple that actually have laws making it illegal for a teacher to date a student regardless of age. He could still get fired or worse- lose credibility with the parents, faculty and administration. I'd advise against dating him until after you graduate and to limit the lunches and other things as well unless he wants to leave his job and take one at another school in which case- have fun.
By the way, it is natural for both boys and girls to have crushes on their teachers- happens all the time. I had one on a couple female teachers and have been the object of a few of my students cravings- it is cute and flattering but dont take it too seriously.

I'm not going to lie there are some good looking teachers out there. I'm a senior too but you have to wait or he could get in a lot of trouble. Even though you are 18 he could easily get fired for anything that looks like a date.

Look, you are gonna do just what you have planned despite what the rest of us say, thats human nature. Where feelings are concerned, thats the way we always react. However, food for thought:

If he loses his job cos both of u acted on your "crush", would it all have been worth it? Maybe he won't, maybe he will...Truth is, your school authorities would frown on a relationship with a student, so be careful! Whatever you do, think about this:

"The consequences would affect you both!"

You can have a crush on your teacher as long as the two of you don't act on it.

Although legally you're grown, you're still a student and he's still your teacher.

Unless you want to get him fired and ruin his career, I suggest that you admire him from a distance.

Until you graduate from high school it is wrong to date him. Graduate, wait a year, go back and see if there is a spark.

He will lose his job if anything happens while you are still his student. The same situation happened at my school. Please wait until you are out of school to start dating him.
